Does anyone know of a product to remove tire scuff off interior plastic? An APC won't do it. It would really need to be some kind of solvent that won't discolor the plastic...

I'll try a little spot...thanks

Sort of thing that magic eraser could work on?
Although you need to be very gentle as it can dull any shine, etc...

-How in the H, E, Double-Hockey Sticks did this event happen?!?!

-What color is this plastic? Textured?
-Caution:
Some "solvents" are pretty damaging to certain plastics!
[A 'cover-up' may be in order (?)]

I was assuming either a bicycle tire or taking an individual wheel to the tire shop for repair. Anyway, good point and there are many solvents that can harm certain types of plastic. MEK, acetone might be bad (unless applied carefully with a q-tip or something)

lol...my son works for a tire company. I told him if he ever hauled tires make sure they are in plastic bags as a scuff from a new tire doesn't want to come out. It's light gray textured plastic. My older son completely ruined the interior of an Xterra. He used to jam 25-30 tires in that thing...scuffs on the head liner...seats...all the plastic trim on the inside of it. This son is a little more cautious...but there are a couple scuffs. I'm going to try mineral spirits on a small out of site piece...if that doesn't work I'll try eraser II. Thanks for the help.

Well...I had the Quantum interior and exterior protection when I bought my car. They sent me the kit that has a reviver for the exterior...a few other products and a interior spot remover. I figured it was probably pretty good since they don't want to end up paying for you to get spots removed under warranty. WOW...there was a spot of dayquill on the seat that had been there for quite a while. It said blot it full strength...took it right out. I decided to see what it would do diluted 1:1. Took the tire scuff right off the plastic. Took oil stains out of the floor mat by just blotting it. No discoloration...I must say I was quire impressed. Wild florescent pink color lol. I'm going to call the company tomorrow and see if they have a dilution ratio to use to shampoo the carpet and seats. I was really impressed with the paint sealant. Searching for that is actually what brought me to AG. I'm going to try some of the other products and see how they work. They have a exterior shampoo as well. Thanks for y'alls input...I think I'm going to be using this product if it's not outrageously priced.

use APC diluted to ehavy, it wont just wipe off, use a MF with a short nap and scrub.

Otherwise let it wear itself out, im sure you can still cover it with a better protectant. I know DP Series total interior cleaner says on the bottle it removes dressing.

Maybe the way I worded something came out wrong...let what wear itself out?? The stuff did a great job.

He probably only read the first post and or title

Glad you got it out. I was going to suggest scrubbing with a microfiber and APC. I have been using DP interior cleaner and a Autoglym hi tech pad and its removed some really stubborn stains and scuffs.

I have some interior cleaner that I got from the dealer when I bought my Trans Am. They gave me a small wash bucket with a bunch of products just for answering a survey. I really liked a few of the products in there but when I searched online they were really expensive from the company. I still have a couple of bottles of products and the wash bucket.
