Removing Turtle Wax Tire Coat

So yes, I fell for the marketing. Didn't listen to my detail-minded consciousness, and bought this crap. I have recently swapped to Shine Supply Hyper Shine (water based) for my other vehicles, and love it. However, I can't get this crap off my tires. It says it lasts a month... It's been three. Of course, the one product I don't want to live up to it's market TRIPLES its lifespan. It's still relatively shiny, and looks like a film on my tires. It's got to go. Any suggestions?
 
Wow. I'm surprised. People here seem to love this stuff.

Maybe try contacting TW and see if they can tell you how to remove it from the tire. Someone had luck pressure washing it off.

It's complete garbage. Even when I sprayed it in my garage with no wind, the overspray went everywhere. I'm going to have to clay and repolish my brand new truck.
 
Oh man I share your pain... I too made the mistake long ago . My paint was covered in over spray but, even worse, so we're my window. I couldn't drive around 5pm or it would create a blinding glare. For my windows I used vinegar and a razor blade, for my paint I clayed and polished, for my tires... Well nothing I used worked. It lasted around 8 months and looked like total crap. I came to conclusions it's nothing more then clear coat spray paint.... I'm sorry u have to deal with it. I don't even know what to recommend that will remove it but still be safe on rubber. Maybe spray some PB Blaster on it and let it dwell for 10 min then using a pressure washer and spray it off followed by an APC? Or a degreaser and some stiff wire brushes? I really don't know though.

You could try 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover.

You might have to go to a paint and body supply, or if your lucky, your local auto parts store.

Spray it on, let it dwell, and hit it with a pressure washer.

I would not use 3M Adhesive Remover on rubber or plastic.

Have you tried a strong APC and a brush?
 
They say if you want to remove coatings you have to abrade them off. I would imagine the brass brushes could do the trick and are available at your local auto parts store. I would just be scared of the tire blowing up in my face lol
