removing wax stains

the stains have been on there for over 2 years and of course it is white wax on black exterior window trim. Can i use ipa to take it off i have uttg but im not sure if it will remove the stains.
 
I read on another forum that the pink erasers will do a whole better job than most of the things out there. I will be reporting on this shortly.
 
The best thing I have used so far is poor boys trim restorer...
 
Pre-Wow....I used it on my Avalanche trim that had some wax residue that was about 2 years old. Worked awesome and took the wax right off. You just need to work the area with a brush for a little bit and your good to go.
 
I had a little bit of wax on my plastic mirror trim. While I was claying the car I figured what the heck and clayed it. Worked great. Did the rest of the trim around the windows too. It removed a ton of nasty black contamination and (probably) oxidized plastic. Trim looks brand new.
 
Over the last 9 months I had tried DG #481, IPA, clay, vinyl erasers, etc. all recommended on these forums on my GF's gray textured hard plastic on her 2010 mustang. It had been stained by WGDGPS 3.0 since the first week of owning it where I got a little careless in the summer hear with my PC and a large 6" pad. Just this last Friday I tried some Optimum Power Clean at 3:1 as recommended by others applied by sprayer and scrubbed with a short nap MF towel. It came right out with little to no effort and looked fabulous. I dressed the trim with UTTGP after that and it looks amazing!
 
ok so i used a pressure washer 1500 psi with a bit apc plus and it took most 98 % of it off including the left over wax from another detailer in the crevices.

Yeah, I had mixed results with it. I didn't have to wait at all with OPC, just sprayed it carefully onto the trim, carefully avoiding overspray onto the paint as I didn't want to remove LSP and went immediately to scrubbing and it came off. I was quite impressed.
 
Anyone ever try to use peanut butter to remove the stains. I vaguely remember back in the day my dad doing this. But that was the 70's and wax was a whole lot different back then and very few dedicated products. He used to pay me to wax his car monthly with good old Turtle Wax Hard Shell and cuss and yell as I got it on the trim pieces. The good ole days!
 
If's it's wax, peanut butter or peanut oil will disolve the wax. Put it on using your finger, rub it in with a towel then buff.
