Renny Doyle Beadmaker Revisited - 2month Standalone Review

Spray & Shine? Is that the Griots product? I’ve personally never used it, but I don’t see how it could create any adverse effects. I’d think pretty much any quik detailer followed by BeadMaker would provide great results.

You're thinking of Griot's Speed Shine, Ric.

(Terrific product BTW). :)

Thanks to all, for the info. :xyxthumbs:Might give Spray N Shine a try. Right now I'm using CarPro EliXir as my QD. Just wanting to experiment with new things. Any thoughts on EliXir vs Spray N Shine? My car is coated with CarPro UK 3.0 btw.

I believe dman is talking about using Spray and Shine as a QD in between BM applications.

That should be no problem.

I like synergy within brands, although it’s not a 100% must for me and I do fool around sometimes... but I like Elixir if being used on UK 3.0 and I like your Spray and Shine idea if you’ve been topping UK with BM.

Thanks acuRAS82......Yep, been topping 3.0 with Bead Maker for about the last month and a half and have been pleased so far. Don't get me wrong, I love my CarPro products but as of late, have wanted to experiment with more cost effective products for my budget.

Try out the Spray and Shine and let us know what you think. With all the hype and talk surrounding BM, I’ve heard very little about their QD. Enjoy!!

Eventually i'll order some but for now i'm gonna play around with Meg's Last Touch. I have almost a whole gallon that's just sitting on the shelf in my cabinet and I hate for it to go to waste. Yesterday I did a quick wash and applied Last Touch over the BM hoping for favorable results. The LT left the slickness of BM unchanged, BM gloss is still there. It did not appear to change the hydrophobic properties at all. Water beaded and sheeted off real well. I may just continue to use the LT for now and see how it does since it's already in my arsenal.

Anyone have thoughts as to whether Meg's Last Touch would have anything in it that may cause the 3.0 coating to prematurely fail? Just over-thinking:p

No, not fail (other than the simple act of you touching it, yada, yada). But at worst could clog up some pores in the coating or whatever, slightly decreasing the coating behavior for only a very short time until last touch gloss enhancers are degraded away by the environment.

Anything I mention though is already being done by BM and BM will last longer before degrading, so all in all, I don’t think Last Touch will have any measurable long term consequences, and certainly won’t cause your coating to fail.

Sorry it took me so many words to say “No.” Just wanted to mention all impacts I can think of, no matter how small.

Thank you Sir! Your info is very much appreciated.:dblthumb2:
