Well I am not surprised. The owner of this rental company should be ashamed. He obviously don't care at all for the condition of the car like most dealer and rental places.

Someone should rent it and we can have another SoCal Detail meet up which would make it no. 3

If I rented that, it would not be sitting still long enough to even wipe it down

It would need new tires immediately upon return

Why would you rent one Kyle? Just buy one, better yet buy 2 and we can detail one for you while you drive off and wear out the tires on that one and don't worry, I don't know how to drive stick so I won't be driving off in it. ;)

You can go get some

I hear you on the rental thing. My truck got the front end smashed by flying steel on highway. i dropped it at body shop and was given a 2014 ram 1500 quad cab with 10,000 miles from Enterprise. The front end of this thing is covered in some kind of what feels like clear undercoating. It almost has a sandpaper feel. I even tried uber and M105, after 3 times i am getting through it.

i am not wasting all my time and product, i just figured i would clean it up real quick while i drove it. I cant believe the condition of this thing with only 10,000 on it.

Thats what happens with dealer/rental place cars. Btw are you sure it isnt one of those clear bras on the truck?

Yeah it was something that was spilled or sprayed, you can see the liquid spots everywhere. it also goes half way down the sides of the truck almost to the passenger doors. The back end of the truck and tailgate are in good shape. I was originally thinking it was a factory defect because it was at a rental place. It is a nice truck, the big horn model 4x4.

Ah ok, yeah the new rams are nice, bummer that its gotten crap spilled on it. Im going to be getting a 2012 dodge 2500HD cummins for mobile detail services i love the front end and the rambox not to mention the legendary CUMMINS!

Maybe make a deal that if you detail it properly you get "X" amount of rental time free.

You know you want to.

I wonder what the economics of these Luxury rental businesses are

The depreciation on a car like this is a big factor

I hope they bought it used as the Huracan probably pushed Gallardo prices down. Not sure, as I have not been in the market for one lately

The payment on a $200,000 car would be about $3,500 a month if you are financing it

I think their breakeven is renting it 4 days a month

I love this pic:

The towels I use when I change my oil don't even look like that. What are they using those to clean - inside the crankcase???

They had five cars in line this morning when I drove by!

The entire places is a wreck

They are using a very high powered steamer....runs on propane

I will have to stop in this week and find out how much they are charging

My dad has a 2013 2500HD.

It pulls like a dream if you ever have to tow. Still not thrilled with the government emissions for all new diesel engines and their use of pee-pee injection to reduce emissions. You shouldn't have to buy a second consumable fluid to run your vehicle. Curious if the carbon footprint of making, bottling, and shipping DEF is less than the emissions created.

Theres one thing i learned from when i was an engineering major, diesel is much cleaner and effecient then gasoline. The reason im gonna get a '12 is that they are still delete capable. The 2013+ are garbage, get like 10mpg if your lucky, cant delete, gotta buy def fluid, dpfs clog. Theyre nice but i hate the T3 emission junk. My buddy has a 2011 deleted and modified 3500 dually, lifted and all and he still averages 22mpg

Thats why you never want buy a rental. Lol. You just never how they are cared for.

If you want to drive a Lamborghini Huracan in the LA/Orange County area, hit up RX Motors. They have clean looking exotic car rentals, scratch-free.
