Just figured I'd post some pics of a car I'm working on. I know it's impossible to lay it on with out any orange peel but I'm determined to do it. So far the engine bay is done and no peels, runs, and only two dust nibs.

It's a 95 toyota supra. I'm painting the car piece by piece and when finished, I'm going to wetsand and polish any imperfections. Hopefully the body will be super straight with all the panels flat and some 2000 grit block sanding and menzerna should really make it shine.

I hope you'll share pics of your Supra when it's finished. Looks like an
interesting project.

Im with texasTB, pics along the way is always fun to watch...

And good luck on the wet sanding, its gone get in showroom condition when its done i asume,

Ok more pics then. Here are some pics of me building a paint booth. I was going to originally attempt a negative pressure down draft booth but don't really have the time to do it right. So the next best thing is a positive pressure booth, I even put on a door:D. Once the inline fan is on and moving about 1000cfm and the door shuts the paint booth's roof puffs up like a ballon. This way I know there is positive pressured air leaving the room and the only way it's entering is through a 3 micron filter. Dust likes getting in through every possible source so this way it's more controllable. The other pictures are of a friend's supra that I did a single conversion on and polished and sealed the turbo, intake manifold, tower brace, throttle body, valve covers, efi resister, and tower plates. I also welded him a four inch mandrel bent aluminum intake pipe that goes to the outside of the car for the coldest air possible and then sanded down the welds and polished so it looks like one pipe. More pics in a few days or so. Have a good weekend.

Bumper and brake ducts primed and painted. Haven't cleared the brake ducts yet so they look dull still.

Brake ducts are done, hopefully I'll have some finishing pics before new years. Don't have anyone to share my work with so I post on the internet. Have a good one.

Love the Apollo 13 style air filtration, very inventive!

Wow! those brake ducts look flawless! Great work! wish you lived near me.

Looks like it's coming along really nice. Did you ever think about using single stage or sanding in between coats to create a better finish? What paint are you using?
