Repaint car drying time

Hi Guys

When car been repaint today how many days the clear coat will take to be TOTALY dry?
I mean from surface and from in ?
I heard that after repainting car the clear will take on month to be totaly dry because reaction between clear and hardner is that right?
Please Advice?

Unless the finish has been baked on with heat the general rule is 30 days and wash with cool water.

I believe it has more to do with the finish venting and solvents evaporating than anything else.

When a catalyst or hardening agent is added to paint is begins a chemical reaction which concludes within an hour or so. Back in the day it was called "pot life" which meant nothing more than the time you had to spray it! Generally 24 hours later the paint was pretty well cured although some slight leveling does continue for a few days....Or it did in the 1980's anyway...

Wait 30 days is a safe bet and you'll have no regrets....
 
It can be cut and buffed within days. It is actually easier to do this earlier because it will sand easier. Like Bobby said, I would wait at least 30 days to seal or wax it.

Supposed to be up to 90 days on a repaint , for seal & wax .
 
Check with the paint shop for the best advise.....
 
Well , it s 90 days where the guy painted mine , almost 3 weeks now .
