Looking for some advice on repairing the clear coat on a set of factory ford Bullitt wheels. most of the damage is surface. you cant even feel it with your fingernail. Only one has a chip in the clear coat (first picture) and one has some curb rash. Any ideas?

Those are very nice looking wheels and my guess is you want a repair that will also look like nothing ever happened in the past. My recommendation would be to start doing some Google searches for companies that specialize in wheel repair and then contact them for more information and pricing.

While at Mobile Tech Expo last week/weekend I saw at least one company that offers the tools to the industry to do this type of work and by the pictures and props in their booth it looks like the technology exists it's just a matter of finding a company in your geographical location to do the work.

Even if you Google wheel repair supplies or wheel repair tools or something like that, once you find a company that specializes in wheel repair you can contact them to see if they have any technicians in your area.

There's always the do-it-yourself route too which you can look into...

Hope that helps...

Those look like they will buff out. Clear on wheels tends to be thicker so you have some "wiggle room". I would scuff sand with 3000 grit wet sanding trizact pad until scratch is dull (try to only do the smallest section). After polish with Compound and Polish to restore. Door
