:iagree:

Here in MI, I did that once, but it was only -9F. I was drving an igloo for about a week.

I am used to the other extreme, that is cold, wet rainy Oregon, Washington and Idaho winters. The detailing is done inside but the car washing is done in the rain and then nothing dries, or at least dries quickly.

Liquid sunshine.

:)

Not to rub it in your face, OK maybe I am, today was in the upper 70s with 38% humidity. LOL!Im the MAN

Hey Mike, washing with a brush and 1 bucket, what's up with that.:joking:I know it's a boar hair brush and the second bucket is out of view.:props:

Here in PR we get 4 seasons, all of them being summer. Love it!

Anyone tried washing their vehicle in the Rain ?

Try it... your Vehicle's getting Wet anyways... so why not you ?

Then just pull it into the Garage and wipe it down.

Hey Mike, how do you like that boar's hair brush?

Detailing in Florida is a breeze. Wash the car the night before. Pull it into the garage, start on the detail with a couple of fans, change shirts frequently. Who could ask for anything better. It is called. " detailing in paradise". lol

My buddy has a heated garage, wonder if you can get an air conditioned garage :)

Well, on the bright side, give it until January and the heat and humidity will subside some during our "winter"! Otherwise, enjoy the weather and drink plenty of fluids... due to the ocean, we stay consistently warm most of the year. But June/July/August are about the only time of year it gets over 90°F.

Heck, even the school children are spoiled as they have air-conditioned school buses here. Wish they had those when I was little! Ah, the fond memories of sticking to vinyl bus seats...

Yup, you sure can. I plan to build a large workshop for most activities but will probably only insulate and air condition the attached garage on the house for detailing projects and light car maintenance work during the summers.

In Kentucky most people have heat in their garage if they work in them in the winter. Not very many air condition up here. We
use fans to cool. It is humid up here in the summer though.

I know that it's an old thread, but Mike what sponge did you use on this picture:

detail-30.jpg

Here in Socal we have "nice" [With occasional floods and firestorms.]

Bought my boars hair here at AG after seeing another pic of mike using his. Saves the back. Noooooo scratches.

Wet tee shirt detailing....hmmmmmmm

No such thing as an old thread.

Correct.

:)

Great thread Mike, I never saw this before. Been in Florida for36 years now and it truly is an awakneing when first coming here in the middle of the summer. I remember doing a Audi A6 a few years ago in July. Wash, correction and sealant with a PC, OMG!! No AC in the garage, just a floor fan, 12 bottles of water and three shirt changes later I realized then that I was glad I didn't do this for a living. Much respect to the guys who do it down here for a living in the elements especially during May to October.

It's bad enough for me working in the Humidity here in Michigan during late July and August.
There is no way I could hack it year around with out A/C,,I don't like the heat.
