Respirator for IronX

Hydrofluoric acid (HF).

(I know...I know...Dang those abbreviations!! LOL)

Thanks! I got some Poorboys wheel cleaner that was BOGO a few weeks ago. I think it has "HF" as one of the ingredients :( Haven't used it yet, but now I know not to use it carelessly.

Re: filter or cartridge??

Hi,
looking online at the 3M 6300, you can get filters or cartridges. Which is recommended for
use with Iron-X?

There are ones listed for organic vapors and others for toxic fumes. Which type is best?

I used Iron-X outdoors, thinking no worries on ventilation. A stray gust of wind came and I
caught a wiff. It is some nasty nasty stuff, but works great.

You want the organic vapor cartridge

Re: filter or cartridge??

I'd opt for the: #6006 Cartridge-type...

:)

Bob

"3M™ Multi Acid Gas/Organic Vapor Cartridge 6006, Respiratory Protection".

"NIOSH approved against certain organic vapors, acid gases, ammonia, methylamine or formaldehyde.
Use with 3M™ Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series with bayonet filter holders"
.

BTW...
I notice that you still haven't taped-up the shiny part on that paint brush yet...:D

Haha actually I taped up the nozzle and the metal band on the paint brush.

It's good to keep around for insanely dirty wheels. You'll wish you had it when a bmw comes in that has 2 years worth of brake dust cakes on the wheels.

(And here I thought we originally came up with this idea---Dang It!!...Shoulda got a patent :()

For a little extra income, I have the Wife bake-up some brake dust cakes for:
"Themed Events"...{such as for users of HF :poke:...as depicted below}
