What's the bar spanning the the ?hood hinges? Keep the body from flexing or something similar?

The bar spanning hood is to hold up the rear of the engine. There's no transmission back there to hold the rear of engine up and mounted.

I was just going to ask him if that was what he did, it's far and away still the best method on stainless and also fine for aluminum as long as you take appropriate cautions (ie. it's soft).

The 2nd Javelin IS THE REAL deal! It is banged up and rusted out. Transferring all parts to the current one.
