Review - 303 Automotive Protectant

I switched to Optimum Protectant Plus and am happy with that. Lats longer on the outside too in the rain compared to 303. Very similar to 303, leaves a very subtle matte finish, but is more water resistant.

Better choices now. When i did use it back in the day, it never lasted long and always ran and streaked in the rain. On the exterior anyway.

It works really well on tyres, I spray it on, let it absorb for 30 mins, then wipe them down so there's nothing to sling off. I'm using something else at the moment, but only till it's used up.

I do like the ease of use, but it's no good on plastics that get wet, exterior black trim gets streaky even after dew, and if I open my doors in the rain, the plastic on inside of the doors gets all streaky too. So I'm trying out TWHS Inside Job Ceramic and Graphene, to see if it's any more water resistant. Works well on the dash and centre console though.

What have you used that did better on exterior trim that gets wet? I've used CarPro Perl on my wife's RAV4 and it will do the same as 303...show streaks.

Autoglym Bumper and Trim Gel doesn't seem to get streaks, but isn't as easy to apply, and the longevity isn't great on a car that sits outside 24/7. So I only use it when I'm really showing off.

If I just want to protect it, and this even goes for the inside of the doors, which are all plastic on the FJ, I was told to try Meg's Quick Wax. Which does protect it, water beads up on the surface, but it doesn't really give it the deep treated look.

I treated my wiper blades with 303 last night, I noticed some webbing appearing the last few mornings wiping off the dew, and we've got possibly a week of rain ahead of us.
