I was running out of Detailer's Pro Microfiber Cleaner which I have been happy with. But I kept hearing all this praise for 3D's Towel Kleen. I stopped by a local 3D distributor and picked some up.

Prior to Towel Kleen I have used Wolfgang and Detailer's Pro. Both work very well and I have been happy with both and would recommend either one. The one con about these is the cost.

Towel Kleen on the other hand set me back $20 for 1 gallon after sales tax.

I had a few loads to do. I used 2 oz's on the medium size load that I did.

Here's two different towels that was in the load. These are my rineless washing and drying towels.

This one has some slight grey staining from a spray on sealant product I used a couple months back, which makes them appear dirtier than they really are.

Towel Kleen cleaned them up very well. The towels feel just as soft as when I used Wolfgang or Detailer's Pro. I don't typically use laundry detergent unless I'm in a pinch. The one draw back I have with using that is that they don't feel as soft to the touch compared to a dedicated microfiber detergent. All of them have about the same amount of cleaning power. They won't remove sever stains.

I would recommend this cleaner. Not only is it cost effective but the performance is very good.

Great review! Thanks for doing this. Maybe I'll pick this up instead of the Blackfire MF cleaner that I have the next go around.

I just ordered some on the latest sale, looking forward to trying it out.

yeah it's good stuff. been using it for a couple months i guess. i know people balk at mf-specific detergent but even so, it's more economical than using "regular" free & clear type of stuff since it's pretty concentrated.

Been using this for over a year now and it really gets all my MF towels clean even when they are dirtier than the OPs towels.

Thanks for the review. Just ordered some and am awaiting it's arrival!

Nice review !!! Think I might pick so e up on my next order.

Thanks. I hear good things about the Blackfire cleaner but the price for Towel Kleen is too hard to pass up.

Nice. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Been looking into this. Nice review

Thanks.

Nice to know, nice price.

Hard to beat the price for a gallon of product. On a smaller load I actually used 1 oz and that worked just as good.

I used to be skeptical about a dedicated detergent as well but after using the others I can tell there is a difference between using laundry detergent and a dedicated detergent.

This is good to know. Thanks for the feedback.

You should. It's worth the price.

Towel Kleen is great. Been using it for 2 years or so exclusively.

This is, by far, the best MF cleaner I have used. Granted I've only used tide, griots, and chemical guys... But it's quite amazing!

When I run out of my current soap (CG) I'll give this a shot. Question: are y'all presoaking your really dirty towels.

I will fill up a bucket with some water and a bit of towel kleen and toss the towels in as I use them. I don't know if it helps, but its what I do...

Ordered a bottle to go along with the towels I just ordered from The Rag Company (FYI They are having a prime sale today also). :xyxthumbs:

The only presoak I do is the setting on the washer. I always presoak in there.

I'm just getting into detailing and after my wife unknowingly used downy on my MF's. Starting taking care after that. Been really impressed with the towel kleen. Tempted to try other 3D products now.

Guz-- what water temp do you go with? Warm or hot?
I see lots of mention of both around the forum.
Just wondering what you choose.

i do hot. or, as hot as the machine will let me. always have. it's not going to hurt them and the fast acting molecules of hot water will clean better. i have an old Kenmore 80 series that washes hot and rinses hot. in fact, when i moved to my new house, i took their newer GE washer, put it in my other house and moved the old 80 series here! with hot rinses and an agitator that could take your arm off...they don't make them like that anymore.
