Well thanks to AG I received my complimentary can of Blackfire Midnight Sun Spray Wax yesterday and a bonus sample of BF rinseless wash. I had time today at work so I figured I'd give the TA the Blackfire treatment. My car was just a little dusty and dirty from driving all week through some rainy weather. The rinseless wash has a pleasant smell that reminded me of apples a little bit. I mixed 1 oz to 2 gallons of water in my bucket and washed the car with a plush MF towel just like I normally do.

Mixing up the Wet Diamond Rinseless

I observed great slickness and cleaning ability from this WD rinseless wash. It released dirt from my wash media well. I have only ONR V3 and UWW+ to compare to and I feel it's right in line with both of them without any major differences that I could tell. (ONR still wins the fragrance award) The BFWD rinseless wash is a definite winner but the price is higher then both other products so I'm not sure I'll be ordering any more. I plan to mix up the other ounce to check it's performance as a clay lube/quick detailer.

After finishing up washing and drying I then shook up the can of Midnight Sun spray and proceeded to spray as light a coat as I could manage all over the painted surfaces. There was some wind so I of course lost a little product in the breeze but not much.

I let it dry for about 5-10 minutes or enough time to pass a swipe test. Then proceeded to buff off. I must have put it on too thick compensating for the wind because I experienced alot of dusting during buff off. Nothing crazy but plenty of dust all the way around the car. I will do another application out of the wind in a garage to get that super thin layer you need to minimize dusting and product waste.

Overall it took about 35 minutes for me to spray the wax on the entire car, wait for haze and buff off residue. The dried wax overspray came right off the windows and trim with no problems and I noticed no trim staining at all. The product buffs off well other than the dusting I was getting but again I put it on too thick as most people have their first time with this product. To me I feel like I used maybe 10% of the product on this application based on weight of the can afterwards. So I'm guessing at least 8-10 applications out of a can depending on the size of the vehicle.

Overall I'm very impressed with the gloss and shine the BF Midnight Sun spray wax gives you. This product definitely saves some time compared to Midnight Sun paste which I also have. I see a good use for this on lower rocker panels or areas that are physically uncomfortable to hand apply waxes. Once again thanks to AG for a great giveaway and to Blackfire for coming up with a quick and easy way to snap some necks and cash some checks! LOL

The before and after shots, especially the reflective shots, clearly illustrate the quality of these products and the users ability. Thanks for the review and it appears that the products held up their end of the bargain nicely! :props:

Really nice review. I want to try the no rinse but cant justify the price . The new ONR is as close to perfect as a rinseless can be IMO.

Nice review Mike! :props:

Love the pictures and description of the review and of course the TA. Blackfire Wet Diamond has the same problem with dusting during wipe off and I have noticed the more thin you apply it the less it dusts. Still haven't gotten not to dust, but I am assuming using less product as you mentioned will help this problem.

Here's some quick shots of my dad's RAV4 after using BF crystal seal and then BF midnight sun spray wax. I'll call this combo "Midnight Express" or maybe "The Crystal Method" LOL. What name to do you guys think works better?

It took me a total of an hour to apply both after giving crystal seal 30 mins or so to cure. I applied the MS spray in a garage this time too and was able to apply much thinner which resulted in MUCH less dusting during buff-off. I'm impressed with this look and couldn't be happier with the ease of application.

Great review and great results Mike.
The shot of the suns reflection off the hood is particularly impressive:dblthumb2:
