If it's simply a matter of washing the high spot streaks off with a maintenance soap, that's not too bad I guess. With all things taken into account the durability may be worth a quick extra wash. Just my .O2. Also keep in mind that if applied with careful hands you may not get any streaks at all.
With my first use of the new formula, I only checked its properties since "one person" over on the carpro forum had mentioned a slight oiliness that seemed to prove testy to remove.
My Kia has a dark Magenta Pearl-Metallic finish, and was washed, clayed, polished with a one step WG Uber Compound, Eraser'd and coated with Pinnacle Paint Coating about 3 weeks ago.
I simply did a clear water wipedown, and a final Eraser wipedown on the roof to test.
With first use, at full strength concentrate, application was no more difficult for myself than applying any basic spray detailer. I did about 3 spritzes per side of roof, spread with one cheap run of the mill wally world MF Towel. All I did was simply flip the one towel for the final wipe.
I was pretty much going about such a bit haphazardly in order to perhaps determine the intermittent claimed difficulties with Reload, both past and present formulas.
None were initially found.
Appearance of application was even, and when I first backed the car out from under the carport that morning to further inspect the paint, I saw no evidence of any streaking nor any oily holograms left behind. Not only visually, but also with a finger swipe test.
I did look from a number of different angles, all looked well at that point.
Then later, I ran some errands about town, the sun heats things up quickly here, and while I did not have a temperature gauge, the paint, after about 30 minutes sitting in the hot sun, and almost too hot to keep your hand on the paint for 10 second's time, it was only then I noticed some slight oiliness, and was able to see it when doing a finger swipe test. I'll guess and say the paint temp was probably near, or higher than
110-115F.
Corey at Carpro at some point later after my comments chimed in, said to try a simple wipe with a dampened MF Towel with just pure water. That appeared to do the trick in my instance.
Again, I'll try the new formula in a 1-1 diluted ratio, and will apply to my Tahoe's paint hopefully this weekend. I have the roof, and some lower panels to finish with CQuartz UK.
