Review day one, Duragloss #271

No..321 works good...I use that more on my tires...it reminds me of 303 in a way...works good on interiors also..like the dash and trim inside....may take 2 applications since no oils in it like 271 for faded trim..may just take 1...but if it brings it back do a few more coats so it can soak in

Al

Thanks Al!!

This one was the worst of the three, and the last one I washed today. I get this one bi-weekly, for the pass year I’ve used everything from VRT to 303. Which works fine, but I am looking for something that will last and doesn’t run at all in the rain. On a few rubber pieces it had streaks and smears after I buff. Apply more #271 and let dry and buff, still had the streaks. Then I buff like heck back and forth, really buff it like heck. (My MF got hot) After all that, at last it looks like a new piece of rubber. Like I said its different then dressing, you got to think of it like some old cleaner wax. The other two vehicles I done, work fine like my truck.

Sparkie...sometimes you need to use a rubber cleaner first to clean off oxidized surface ..if rubber is bad I use a magic eraser or just a spnge and some rubber cleaner to get old stuff off..then apply the dressing...it soaks in then...

That what it was! I guess the 303 I used before just cover up the oxidizing.
Thanks Al!

Truthfuly on a Tonneau cover I do not think #371 would be the best choice...it is more for rubber and hard plastics....I would try the Marine protectant #531....thats my next purchase...I heard nothing but good about it....it has strong UV protectors and is for Vinyl also...and a good shine to it...

is your cover cloth type or vinyl ..if vinyl try the marine protectant.....better for that than the 371

Al

Also a lot cheaper than 303! :)

sparkie, I ordered my first Duragloss product today based on all of your great posts.

Looking good, Sparkie. I want to get some too, but am out of space on garage shelves.

First applied on 4/2/07, and today is 4/17/07 15 days.
Four rains and four washes. The product did not run off and still looks good 15 days later. I think this one a keeper!
Sorry about the pics, the sun was out full blast today!

Looking at my truck paint, it still has wetness from 2/4/07 with #104, I hated working with the product but it's holding up very well! I know this has nothing to do with #271 but I thought I would share.
