Review: Duragloss Aquawax (#951)

1 Week Update:

After 1 week the panel was dirty and had surface water spots. I assume from the condensation every morning. (since we haven't had any rain)
I sprayed it down with the hose and then washed it with a mf Mit and my Xtream ONR-QD. :) Next I sprayed the hose on it over and over for a video to show sheeting and beading. The polycharged side sheets water much faster.
In the video you will actually see 3 sheets of water almost like steps since all 3 surfaces are sheeting at different speeds.
Left side is with AWpc
Middle is with AWoriginal
Right side is with nothing

Videos a bit long. Make sure you look at it and pause around 56 seconds to see the step effect really obvious. At about the 1:16 point I start focusing on only the AWpc vs. AW sections. My reflection is about centered on where the tape line was.

After making the video I dried the panel off gently and rubbed my finger against all 3 sections. The polycharged side is definitely noticeably slicker by touch at this point. However the Aquawax side is still slick.

The difference in the sheeting is pretty amazing. Has me convinced about looking into some Polycharger.

Hey Corey, I have some 921 if you would like to review it. Also, have you ever tried Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax? If not, I would love to see you do a review on it. I'll send you some if need be. UQW is one of my favorite spray waxes (right next to OCW). :dblthumb2:

Wow...pretty impressive. Guess I will be heading to the garage to PC my AW :)

I done several cars drying them down with aquawax. I've still got another full bottle, don't plan on buying anymore. It does real good but not worth the price. If you're doing it for business purposes, its not worth it. I can only do about 4 or 5 vehicles with 32 oz of it.

Thanks for the offer Shane! I appreciate it. I'll be happy to review the Megs UQW and DG921. All I need is about 1/2 ounce of product. Oh, I won't be able to get to it for at least a month probably... so no rush.

Are you washing the car with it?

WOW, that's way too much product. I only use 1-2 oz / car....

Wow, that's like 7 or 8 ounces per car! That's quite wasteful. :nomore:

You need to try a pump sprayer instead of a trigger. You cant spray nearly as much on without wearing out your finger!
