Review for Meguiars Ultimate Compound

I believe the temperature that day was in the low 30s F. The DP rinse less wash was actually freezing while I was wiping it off lol.

I usually go UC, UP, then collinite 845 as a sealant, and depending on what I am looking for from the wax I either go Pinnacle liquid souveran, Megs Gold Class liquid wax or UW.

This is the family car that I did during summer, before I got a PC7424. I used UC, UP, and UW on it. The results I felt where ok considering it was done by hand.

Results are ok? I think you did a great job by hand. Don't under estimate what you have done. Now how to I get my 14 year old daughter to help do all our cars. Well even my sons who are 20 and 17 don't come out and help details the cars. Glad to know that the product worked at that way at a temperature that low.

Lol, its the opposite in our house. My parents think I'm crazy when I wash the car once a week, and need two buckets to do it lol, and purposely park way in the back of the parking lot just to avoid other cars. Yet, they never complain when the cars are looking nice and shiny, especially after snowing when other cars are coated in salt and who knows what else.

Is UC to strong for a new car with few water stains that will not come out when clayed ?

I heard it is very similar to m105 without as much dust and longer working times. This true?

Excellent shots! You really do look like you are taking pictures of the lights. UC is one of my favorite detailing products; on its own, it can REALLY wind back the clock on an older vehicle's finish, in the "Dude, did you get a new truck?" sense.

Yes.

It is/was derived from 105. Justa tad less 'cut'. Along with a much smaller learning curve.

I must have been asleep when this thread started...

Nice review! Have others have said, this has become my 'go to' for a lot of situations.

Thank you...

I haven't used this yet. I honestly don't usually use many compounds. Is this good for taking out small scratches and swirls? I have two German Shepherds that think it's fun to jump on cars. Needless to say, the back half of my truck is trashed. And also my wife's 2011 Rogue has scratches on the drivers side front fender and door. Will this help with it?

I just used uc on new black truck and it left a thousand scratches. Used a clean cotton applicator. Paint had been clayed. What did I do wrong?
