Review & How-To: Ultima Waterless Wash Plus

Great review. I also bought this on BOGO to try out. Once I did I saw how great this product is. On the next order I placed the concentrate was in the basket. Considering the price benefit and how well it performs it truly was a no-brainer purchase.

I just used this WW this past Sunday. We had some local showers and early in the afternoon while I was out it had rained pretty good, but by the time I left for home the sun was coming out and the water was flinging off as I drove. I thought this would be a perfect time to clean her up, since I got a soft water pre-rinse from Mother Nature. It shined up nice after using this product. I even got some weird looks from my neighbors, but hey, I knew that the showers had passed and sure enough the next morning my ride was the cleanest one in the neighborhood.

I am going to make a separate bottle shortly for a clay lubricant for our local "help-a-fellow-Autogeeker" session. See: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...-phillips/60025-my-truck-has-sat-3-years.html

Is the UWW+ being used to replace quick detailers such as Finish Kare 425?
Not meaning to overstep my boundaries on Marc's thread...

For me:
Products that are labeled as Waterless Washes
are not replacing QD's...They're supplementing QD's

-I've been using copious-amounts of any particular "Quick Detail Spray"...
(when I'm performing a "Waterless Wash")...Forever and ever, now it seems.

I've used, among others:
-Many different: by-the-1/5 gallon, inexpensive Detail Sprays
-Meguiar's #'s: M34, M135, D155...UQD...UW&WA
-ONR @QD-ratio: 8oz. per gallon/water (distilled)

IMO...It still boils down to what Marc posted here:
The number of towels and how much product you'll use will vary depending on how dirty the vehicle is and your judgement.
you need to use good technique such as the Michael Stoops Waterless Wash Method, good product such as UWW+ and of course common sense.

Thanks a lot, AC! I can't wait to buy the concentrate as well. I hope it goes on sale soon.

More of this stuff!!! Now it'll last me a long time!!!

Time to get yours too!

Nice review. Love UWWP, I also buy it by the gallon. Don't remember who said it, but he called it the roll method when wiping uwwp.:xyxthumbs:

I have no idea how I missed this one. Another successful review marc! I might have to consider it as a replacement for UWWA, especially for the price. Like all your reviews, you always convince me to get the product your reviewing, and I've not been dissapointed!

That gallon is going to last a looooong time.

Agreed! You just can't beat the [concentrated] price to performance ratio at this point. I'd love to see a more economical version of UWWA. Are you listening, Meg? Their Rinse Free Express is such an excellent product, I'm not surprise UWWA scored higher in the cleaning factor.

True story: While mixing a batch on the kitchen counter, a drop or two must have found their way into my drink cup. My guess was while shaking the mixture. The flavor was a combination of bitter cucumber and white vinegar. And then a series of hot flashes and numbness of extremities. All was back to normal within 10 seconds. Needless to say, I did not finish the tea.

Can you up the UWW+ concentrate in the 22 oz sprayer and get an even better result?

Is the UWW+ being used to replace quick detailers such as Finish Kare 425?

FWIW, I did 1/2 oz concentrate to 16 oz of distilled water. Other than slightly stronger scent, no noticeable difference with performance. Then again, -6 oz of thinning agent is somewhat minute. A whole oz of the stuff mighty do the trick. Having said that, the recommended dilution works so well, anymore feels like a waste, IMO.

Speaking of FK425, I've recently picked up a gallon. After a few rounds of cleaning - no, it wouldn't replace UWW+ anytime soon. It's great for light dusting, touch ups, or as a topper. My current routine is as follow: UWW+, followed by D156, and then a rotation between D155 & FK425 every other day until the next wash. So far it's working out great.

Awesome review just got a bottle of concentrate in myself
