The next new release I was privileged to try is the Mckees 37 Fast Metal Polish.

So before I got my hands on this I have been using the Mckees RV line chrome and aluminum polish which I also tested before being released. After talking with Nick he mentioned that the main difference between the Mckees Fast Metal Polish and the RV line of metal polish is that the Mckees Fast Metal Polish contains finer abrasives that finish out nicer. And it also contains an anti corrosion agent to protect against future dulling.

McKee’s 37 FAST Metal Polish

One of the main areas I am always polishing are my stainless exhaust tips which do to a good bit of engine modifications become caked in soot after some spirited driving! I also now have polished aluminum wheels which at this point don't need any polishing but will definitely be trying this on them in the future.

It's been a good bit of time since the last time I polished them.

For application I I simply applied dab on a blue surgical huck towel and began polishing.

This is just after a good rubbing and not a final buff. The caked on soot was easily removed.

After a final wipe off I was left with a brilliant shine!

As I mentioned earlier this contains finer abrasives and that's something I had asked Nick about after trying this product because of the brilliant shine I was left with. I have have had great results with the RV version of metal polish but this seem to amp it up just a bit more. Pretty cool product.

Awesome! I think I wanna grab a bottle of this and see how it works on my brushed stainless steel dishwasher panel :-p

I can't figure out why the directions for use say "Thoroughly clean the surface to be polished". That's why I'd be using the product - because it cleans, shines, renews, etc like the product label says. Your results look great btw.

David,

You wouldn't polish dirty paint, would you? Same idea for metal polishing. (Topical) Dirt and grit particles will get sandwiched between your applicator and the substrate that you're polishing, inflicting damage that will be nearly impossible to remove (random isolated deeper scratches, etc.).

McKee's 37 Hi-Intensity APC Plus diluted 1:4 or 1:10 makes for a great "pre cleaner" before polishing metal surfaces. Is it going to restore the shine and remove oxidation? No! That's the job of the metal polish. :dblthumb2:

Thanks Nick! Still seems odd as the reviewer didn't do the APC step - just went right to polishing the exhaust tip. I've been using Pinnacle Exhaust Cleaner & Brightener Pinnacle Exhaust Cleaner & Brightener but will give this new Mckee's 37 product a shot in the future(better price point) Thanks again,
David

I will certainly be trying the Fast Metal Polish. I like that it has a thicker consistency than my current favorite which is HD Metal which has a consistency similar to Optimum Metal Polish, which used to be my favorite before trying HD Metal. Because I polish chrome bumpers and anodized aluminum trim on a daily basis, I have learned to adapt to HD metal's runny consistency because it's the only metal polish I've ever found that is always easy to buff off. I always leave it on for at least 4 hours but have left it on for 24 hours several times and it was still just as easy to remove. Plus it really cleans and brightens chrome and aluminum.

I've been looking for a metal polish that's similar in it's ease of removal but has a thicker consistency for using with my pneumatic mini rotary polisher. Does Mckee's fast metal polish fit the bill? Nick, is a quarter-sized amount really what you recommend? How much product is recommended for machine application? Thanks!!

I used this about a month ago on my exhaust tips. Shined them up nicely. What's impressed me even more is the tips have stayed shiny. Never used a metal polish that did this. Good stuff.

'Fast' is a good description for this metal polish. Cleans quickly and leaves a bright shine. I have been applying BF Metal Sealant on top and it has really lasted.
