Review: Meguiar's DA Microfiber Buffing Pads!!!

Thanks for looking that up Mike. I know that most people will tend to think like this,

If a little is good, more is better...

And that means they'll bump their DA polishers up to the highest speed setting but I would suggest that Jason Rose and his team have done their homework and to follow the manufactures directions and give the "System" a chance the way it is formulated and intended to be used.

:)

this is awesome , but i have one dumb question , D301 has a combination of cleaners, polymers, silicones, and carnauba in it , so is it possible to top of one more layer for example Souveran or 845 ??

Yes, I believe you can "top" it with another carnauba wax.

In my case, although I have D301 I have not used it.
After the MF/D300 I use PO85rd for my next step.

The reason you ask???
Well I now have a clean paint surface I can either use...
A sealant like Meg #21, Menz Power Lock Sealant etc.
or
Carnauba wax for example Souveran or Collinite 845

I have always heard not to put sealant on top of wax.

Can I use those pads with m101 and then finish with m205 or its better to use the other compounds that come with the kit ?

You can use any compound you want with them I have used lots of compounds with MF pads with great success.

Very true, but from what I have read on here, 101 will have more cut on foam, vs using on it these microfiber cutting discs, and 105 will have more cut on these discs vs foam..

I hope my questions are not stupid, but
If I will use 105/101 do I still have holograms ?

It really comes down to what kind of paint your working with. The only real way of telling what works is a test spot.

I've used the Megs MF discs with M101 & D300 with a PC, GG 6" and Rupes all with excellent results
I've used the Megs MF discs with M100 and a Flex PE-14 rotary with excellent results.
...and yes it all depends on the paint.
In many cases M101 finished down so well that M205 did not make any visual difference.

been on the verge of buying this system as im a newbie in car detailing, picked up my car couple months ago and have always wanted to learn, read about the meguiars DA polisher to be noob friendly i think seeing this post has convinced me to purchase. as i am new to all this, what compounds do you guys recommend, are the compounds included in this kit any good ? Meguiars G110v2 DA Microfiber Correction System Complete Kit or what do you guys think of the kit in general. or is this kit Meguiars G110v2 Dual Action Complete Kit FREE BONUS a better choice and i choose my own compounds? whats the main difference between the microfiber pads and foam pads?

I'm a big fan of the Griots Garage 6" polisher.
I like a 5" backing plate and 5 1/2" Lake Country Flat pads
6-pack 2) orange 2) White 1) Black 1) Blue is a good start.
I'm also a big fan of the 5" Meguiars microfiber cutting discs for eliminating swirls.
I use it with a combo of D300 & M101 to eliminate swirls & remove fine scratches.
IMHO the Microfiber discs are for correction and the foam pads are for finishing.
For finishing (adding gloss) I like Carpro Reflect with a white or black finishing pad.
