Review: Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer

I have found Griot's Plastic Cleaner to work better than anything on any kind of clear plastic, like screens. It leaves behind a smooth anti-statit surface. Oddly enough, it says it removes fine scratches, but it's not a polish

Better than Plexus??

I have been using this stuff lately. Its pretty good. It does leave a brand new finish with no shine which is what I like on my interior. My only complaint is the fact that it almost looks like you are applying nothing. I can't even tell where I wipe 1 second ago. In my opinion it kind of smells like Wasabi.

I've used it for a while. It is great for the quick wipe of the interior. The smell is nice and neutral too. My wife likes it cause she likes the shiny look but she's also big on smells lol. It's about the only thing I can put on her dash.

I buy 2-3 bottles every time I go to Wally World (we use it for household dusting). My usual practice is APC, Ultima Interior Guard Plus, and QID to maintain. Works well for me and is safe of instrument faces.

I have been using Megs QID since it was released. I really like it. However I keep switching between Sonus Cockpit Detailer, 1Z CP, and CG Inner Clean. I think Megs QID has the nicest smell.

I thought that it left no shine?

I was on the fence about this, 1z cockpit, or Inner Clean, but based on the descriptions Inner Clean seems to have more protection properties than the other two.

I tried Sonus Cockpit detailer and did not like it at all. It is streaky and too glossy for me.

I have gone through several bottles of IC now and love the stuff!

I picked up a bottle this weekend and liked it. I agree. I doesn't leave a shine. More like a factory finish. I bought a bottle of the standard shine (they have a high gloss shine) protectant and almost think I might not even use it.

My daughter thought the interior smelled like clorox, but hey, she's 12. :) I thought it smelled like cleaning fluids but not overwhelming.

CG's interior cleaners are really good. They were my go to. Inner Clean, Green clean. Excellent products. Inner clean cleans everything inside. When I found Gary Dean's I never looked back. Sorry CG I love you guys but Detail Juice just kills anything out there for because of $ and pure multitude of uses.

Innerclean works well for my needs I tend to wipe down 2 to 3 times a week. When I run out I will consider something else.

I use megs interior detailer a lot . I like it very much because it doesent leave a shine , just makes the vinyl look new.I also use ONR mixed with water when Im out of interior detailer , that seems to work good also.

Gary Dean's Detail Juice. Hands down best of the best Cheap as dirt once it's cut with distilled water and more uses then any one product in your line up

I have this stuff but never used it for that. I will try it now!!! Thanks for the reminder.

I am extremelly surprised to see so many of you use this. I have a bottle of the stuff but never used it...

I would think you guys would be using Meg's APC or APC+ at very low concentration (say 10:1) for interior cleaning... am I missing something?

Just a guess but I'm assuming price, availability, and ease of use (mainly no dilution required) are key factors in using megs qid instead of apc/apc+. I've been using innerclean for a long time now and have no complaints. I've used Meg's as well and it worked great

That's the thing, APC+ diluted at 10:1 is much cheaper than pretty much anything else. I could understand availability since UQD is available over the counter, and no dilution could be a factor also I guess, although diluting products is quite easy and takes no time at all.

Just curious what you guys think.

I think its because it cleans and protects in one step. With APC youd still have to do another wipedown to leave any protection behind.

I too am a QID user as well as natural shine protectant for the in between upkeeps.

I'm a big user of Megs QID. Keep a couple gallons on me at all times. Really nothing better for quick wipedowns
