I bought this product elsewhere and wanted to pass along the review for it.

Here's the link to the product.

Meguiars Ultimate Leather Balm

The product comes in a box.

The contents of the box are the product and a foam applicator. The jar contains about 5 oz's of product. It may not seem like a lot but it really is a good amount as a little product goes a long way.

The product is similar to a soft paste wax consistency.

I don't have an image of the directions but it's pretty straight forward. Use the provided applicator and work into the leather. Follow with a light final wipe to remove any excess product. It also states that if more cleaning is needed, use a microfiber applicator.

I did a deep cleaning on my seats using D181 Leather Cleaner. So I did not test out the cleaning ability of the product.

A little product goes a long way. I worked into sections and applied more as I needed. I let the product sit on the front and rear seats for a few minutest before proceeding with a light buff to remove any excess product and to knock the shine down a bit.

It was overcast so the lighting is a little off.

Here is a 50/50

This is a great product. It's ease of use makes it a pleasure to work with. The coconut scent is spot on. The scent just adds to the enjoyment of using it. As the photos show, it darkens the leather. It gave the leather a nice soft and supple feeling. A little product goes a long way.

Overall a great product and a nice addition to the ultimate line.

For what "types" of leather is this product intended?
TIA.

Hope this answers your question.

Both! But as with any leather conditioner applied on older un-coated leather, typically because of the darkening a conditioner will provide, the entire seat or surface needs to be completed for a uniform appearance.

Thank you for the review.
I have been looking for a good leather cleaner/conditioner, this could be the one.

I ended up reapplying it 5 weeks later. It was up for a refresh.

Did you notice it's cleaning ability after 5 weeks gone by? How's the shine factor now that you've had time to get a better feel for it? Can you tell it's there? Or is it too shiny maybe? How bout the scent, does it remain longer than a day or 2? TIA.

I bought the balm to try,it geos on nice but a little bit to much shine.when taking a micro to settle the shine down it almost disappears entirely.especially when one sits in the seat,it like totally gone.my personal opinion if I'm gonna spend 30 min to condition I want to see the remnants of my work.so I won't be using this product and sticking to silk shine or hyper diluted.not saying it's a bad product in any means just not for me.

@GSKR. Yup, someone else told me the same exact thing.^ He said it's too shiny and based on that it'll probably wind up collecting dust on his shelf.

I wiped the entire interior down with QID prior to applying another coat. So I can't say how good the cleaning ability is.

It's shiny when first applied. But like any conditioner following up with a microfiber to remove any excess product is recommended. The shine will be knocked down to a matte like sheen.

I can tell it is there not by just the look but by the way it feels as well. Not shiny in my opinion.

Don't expect the interior to retain the scent. The scent fades rather quickly.

Sorry to hear that. Your experience was much different than mine.

Anyone knows how this compares against Swissvax's Leather Cleaner/Leather Milk?

how is it holding up and is it worth it to keep using it? or would you prefer/favor to use something else?

Expect about a month out of it. It's pretty good. I ended up using 3D liquid leather after that and I need give this another go. 3D liquid leather was gone in a couple weeks. I would not recommend that one. I had high hopes for it.

I actually prefer the leather sealer from the Meguiar's gold class leather sealer system over the leather balm.

thanks for the feedback!

Balms, waxes, oios etc should all be avoided on finished chrome tanned leather as they are counter productive. As you can see they sit on the surface of the leather where they attract more dirt which is what we are trying to avoid.
Conditioners do not protect the leather which is what is needed to prevent dirt build up and abrasion
Hope this helps

Today I saw two packs of the Gold Class system on clearance for $1.99. I might go back and get it. Would it make a noticeable difference on a 2015 Honda with leather? It's real leather but coated (haha to the point that it looks like vinyl to me, but it's not). Or should i just stick to an interior detail product I have on hand?

Don't know what you have on hand but the Gold Class Leather Sealer treatment is a great product. Works great on coated leather.
