Review: Meguiars Wheel Brightner

It's harder to clean them that well on the car. If you want super clean, pull them.

I do not know if hydrofluoric acid is in WB or not or if it is what its dilution ratio is. However if hydrofluoric acid is in WB, I would stay away from it. When I was in the semi conductor industry, we used HF to etch silicon wafers. It was one of the most dangerous acids we used. Operators had to be gloved, face masked, and the product under laminar flow to prevent it from being inhaled. I use Meg's Gold Class Car Wash, Griot's MF Finger Mitt and a good bit of elbow grease to clean my al wheels.

A lot of guys on here claim using it with no PPE whatsoever. After reading up on the chemical and the dangers of it, I'm worried for them.

I have a gallon of it I never use because of all the drama with this product. IT scares me!!!

I haven't cracked mine open either. I have the safety equipment but after reading a few threads I'm debating if it is worth it or not.

Ammonium Bifluoride when mixed with water releases Hydrofluoric acid.
I know your intent but:

D140 is already "mixed" with water in the jug. So:
What does it take 'to cause' this D140-admixture to form HF-acid when it's: Out of the jug?

If you think megs wheel brightener is bad try Malco brake off, it's really nasty. I only use it on clear coated wheels that are bad, works great for the barrels. PPE is a must, full shield, gloves and a mask.

Anyone nut wanting to use their gallon of wb, let me know, I'll give you $15, shipped. No reason for you to let it sit!

Im thinking about buying this, however, I do details on friends and other peoples cars. I think I would dilute it with less power and then use. Would It be good for somewhat heavily soiled wheels and not semi immaculate wheels ?

are you guys spraying WB into the barrels of the wheels while they are still on the car? What about getting WB on the brakes, will it do any harm?
