Review: Natty's Blue Paste Wax

Just to play Devil's Advocate for a moment . . .

What point is there to a product like Natty's Blue when other waxes like Collinite deliver the same ease of use and shine with much greater durability?

Personal preference. I have used Natty's white and Collinite 476 and I would expect Natty's to be a lot more idiot proof in application and smells better.

@ronkh57... so, I'm thinking red would be better for a white car and blue on a dark car.

With respect, that sure doesn't match my experience with 476S. I have applied this wax several different ways and comparing my experience with Natty's Blue, I didn't find 476S any more difficult to buff off than Natty's. Properly applied I found that both buff off quite easily.

From a protection standpoint, Natty's Blue should be considered a cosmetic wax as it may add some depth to the shine and a recreational wax for those of us who enjoy waxing a car. It won't stand up to UV, bug splats, bird bombs and other atrocities that can happen to paint. And it will also burn off in the summer heat so if the car is not garaged most of the time, I'd expect to wax at least monthly. With 476S, I'd probably go 4-6 months at least between waxings.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here but when my ride is exposed to the elements, I get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that my paint is really protected. Natty's Blue alone won't do that.
