Review: P21S Wheel Cleaner (Gel)

My favorite product for wheels ... versatile and gentle yet tuff on brake dust !

Wow nice review! Weel come out nice! Thanks for sharing.

so what were your thoughts on the samples ... 261 versus 263 ??

Great review, for the longest time I have been contemplating purchasing this product but you pushed me over the edge and I'm ordering some...no I'm ordering lots!!

I have a question though, does P21S make anything that could be used to spray on the lower part of the vehicle with out damaging the paint or clear coat? Kind of like a citrus...um..stuff. Sorry can't think of the proper term. Just spray it on and then rinse it off...just on the lower part of the vehicle not the entire vehicle.

It did a very nice job P1et. Your wheels definitely needed a good cleaning. It's about time to pull some of mine off and to the same.

i am guessing you are referring to the Paul Dalton video and his secret "citrus degreaser" he sprays on the cars out of the pesticide sprayer...just so you know its actually p21s total auto wash...ag sells it by the 5 liter (approx 1 gallon) if you want it in bulk

P21S Total Auto Wash is German nobility in a spray bottle!

or you can get the s100 version for 5 bucks cheaper :)

p.s. just so you know any bug and tar remover does the same thing for the lower panels...

Yea you got it orngez..see I had a feeling it would be P21S but I wasn’t sure...the only reason why I want something really good as P21S is because I had an extremely hard time removing some tar/bugs/who knows what off my Volvo. I bought a bunch of products to clean my Volvo so this time around I'm going to invest in the P21S and introduce it into my regiment when it comes to washing. I'm definitely getting some for my rims.

s1000 version huh...thanks for sharing buddy.

Another question.

I'm just looking at the AG store and which is better? Gel or Regular?

Sorry to high jack but just want to place the order sooner rather then later.

the gel is just a thicker liquid, think toilet bowl cleaner. I use the liquid which is kinda thick anyways just a little foam.

Nica- Your probably fixed on getting the P21s for the lower body panels, but you should really look into Poorboys Bug Squash and Pinnacle's bug and tar pad, this combo together works awesome!

As far as the gel vs. regular, Id probably go with the gel because Id imagine it would cling onto the rim better and wont run.

So one is just thicker then the other....I was thinking the Gel would have more concentrated affect but if they both function the same....mmmm...decisions...well Gel it is. I’ll get a small bottle of the regular.

Thanks killr

Yea I'm ordering this too. I don't want to be scrambling at the last minute looking for something strong. Thank you for the suggestion 03gtmustang, I've been looking at the bug squash and the bug and tar pad...seems like members have been getting good results from this combo.

I like the way you think about the Gel, make sense to me.

Thank you

Scott, sorry, just saw this!

I forgot which number went with what sample, but I was very pleased with the results. I think they both had the same "ease" as far as one and off went, but the "grittier" wax made me nervous. However, under the lights and in the sun, both offered similar results as far as warmth and depth was concerned. Better than Natty's Blue I would say. Natty's Blue has a tendency to show off imperfections, you really need a perfect surface to apply. However, this stuff was more forgiving as it probably had filler in it.

Actually, in my case, 1 went beautifly, but the other left some hazing in the paint, even after re-applying twice! But overall application and removal was nice.

Interesting. Did you use the applicators that came with the P21S?

I truly believe one was their current wax .. the other looked like a competitors with the scent removed or not added. You could tell by the top one was drier (caulk looking) and the other quite oily. We will likely never know the truth.

I'm not as experienced as you guys with regards to using different waxes, but I liked both samples. I compared them with Nattys Blue and thought they performed pretty close. Nattys had the slight edge in look, but I think the 263 felt slicker and removed a little easier.
