Review: Ultima Waterless Wash Plus

Thanks for the input Mike!

Thanks Al! I appreciate that. Welcome to Autogeek!

I gotten to use this stuff an its AWESOME! Getting my own on my next order. Great review, your reviews CEE DOG are always fantastic. Give's my something to read in my boring lecture classes lol

I'm addicted to this stuff. I keep a spray bottle in my trunk and clean every little fingerprint or smudge lol.

Cee Dog...thanks for this review. I'm thinking ahead to the winter months and am looking into options for maintaining my car, particuarly a no rinse wash. Would you recommend using this product on your car if it had salt and road grime on it? I would try to go to a touchless wash and get most of the stuff off, but I see you checked the foreign substance from the dump truck for grit. I'm thinking the salt and grime might potentially induce swirls while using a no rinse wash.

Usually when you use a no-rinse on a salty car, you spray it down first with a pump-up sprayer like you can get at Home Depot or elsewhere which are used for insecticides, etc.

SNAP!!! I didn't think of that!!!!!!

There are some pretty detailed threads about winter cleaning with ONR etc. on here...at least I think they are on here, maybe another forum.

yeah thats why I'm searching now. I found one thread that was asking the comparison between UWWP and ONR. Click on this review. I still have alittle bit of time, and I'm sure I'll be placing several orders between now and then.

This is the reason why I tried UWW+ and all I can say is "holy s***!!!" I couldn't believe how great this stuff works. Never again will I have to take my ride to a carwash in the winter.

I also recommend The Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave Microfiber Drying Towel by Cobra is a medium size drying towel for cars, compact trucks and SUVs.
Like the reviews say, they really are that good!!! Use the UWW+ with the cobra guzzlers and you can't go wrong :dblthumb2:

*edit* I forgot to mention. I ranted and raved about this stuff to my friend and now he's twisted my arm to go over his place tonight and give his C6 vette demo lol I can't wait to see his reaction.

I picked up some UWW+ and mixed it 1/2oz to 32oz of distilled water. Man this stuff is AWESOME. My car was really clean (as normal) and in the morning my car was covereed in dew. After it dried up, the hood/roof was a little hazy. So I sprayed on some UWW+ and wiped it off gently and DANG what a result. Very glossy, very slick, and very easy on the paint.

Not sure if I'd use this on a car that sees salt/road grime in the winter. I would probably run it through a touchless wash first to get the worst of the junk off before using UWW+.

I agree, excellent product!
Corey,

I agree. I bought UWWP because of your review and because it's STILL in your "best of" list: Best Of - AUTO DETAILING AND CAR CARE PRODUCT SPECIALIST. If anyone is not sure of what products to buy, I strongly recommend that the start with your Best of list.

I tried UWWP tonight on the trunk lid of my car which was dusty. It worked VERY well. Then I tried it on the hood which was protected with a little Zaino Z8 sealant. That worked great too! The hood was still nice and slick, with no interaction between the chemicals.

UWWP is now my go to QD.

Thanks,

Dan.

So, my last AG order included two waterless wash products Ultima WW and Optimum Opti Clean. Usually I do 2 bucket washes, occasionally an ONR wash. Whenever I use ONR I always foam and rinse prior with a pressure washer. This does kind of defeat the whole point, but I do it because I have the products and facilities. Also, most filth and grime comes off this way and the towels stay very clean and you use less of them. I pressure wash outside, then ONR inside. I did the same thing with Ultima WW and Opti Clean as waterless washes (so to speak). Both products were excellent and it took me only 2 hours to do my Pathfinder including clean wheels and dress trim. Conventional washes take me close to 3, as I go slow and take every precaution. The thing is, I just can't believe how slick and what a good job Ultima WW does with only a half ounce in 22 ounces of water. It's so amazing and cost effective. This stuff glows with slickness, it's like applying a sealant. The Optimum is also excellent, but requires so much more product to make your dilution. It's hard to pick a clear winner on performance, also, they both smell like a janitors closet. However, by price ULTIMA clearly rules. I was so amazed by this stuff, the towel just glides over the paint. You only need like 1 or 2 sprays per panel. How does Ultima blow everyone away with there dilution ratio? I will never buy a quick detailer again. This stuff is slicker and glossier than any of them. If it wasn't for Corey's review , I never would have tried this stuff, because I wouldn't believe it could work at this dilution ratio. So, thank you for that. Bottom line, truck looks cleaner and glossier than with a conventional wash. This stuff is do slick, I can't see how you could instill any scratches using it unless what you are washing is filthy. Now I want to check out other Ultima products, but I've already have so much of other stuff I'll have to wait. Everyone should have this stuff in there collection for a quick detailer, waterless wash, rinse less wash, and clay lube. It's just wonderful stuff!

I have a chance to us the UWWP today. I used it to clean off some bird poop. Spray on, wait 5 sec, wipe off. Flip the MF over and dry. Wow, there must be a mistake. Did i used the spray wax instead because it's so SMOOTH to the touch. Yes, i grabbed the correct bottle. It's the UWWP. I ended up doing the whole care. The back half of the car was sitting in the sun and it was hot. Should i move it to the shade? Hmmm, Fck it, let's roll w/ it the way it is. Spray on top of trunk lid in full sun. Wiped off, WOW, no streaking and SMOOTH. I'm now a fan of UWWP for life. What an awesome product. Thanks CEE DOG for the review.

Apply UWWP with a Kwazar sprayer. Tighten up the nozzle and it will come out as a fine mist. One full squeeze while sweeping the sprayer over your hood will cover 1/4 to 1/3 of the hood in an even mist.

Try just one 1 liter Kwazar sprayer with UWWP. Then you'll get smooth AND fast. :xyxthumbs:
