ok so i found out an old fam friend has reopened a body shop and ive always wanted to have my rims painted (unfortunately i dont trust anyone enough to do them nor do i feel like spending a ridiculous amount of money) or paint them myself (but didnt want to do a hack job)
so now it looks like i should be able to do them, im hoping to do all the work myself since these are my rims and if he did them and i didnt like them i would be pissed, plus im a pain in the ass and would probably drive him nuts.
ive heard from a friend that he has an oven and has done some rims himself, needless to say i would still like to do the majority of the work. since i never used a spray gun before i might let him handle it or at the very least have him watch me do it.

what steps from start to finish are involved.
1 rim has curb rash so i will be looking into fixing that as well
as said before these are my own personal rims so im looking to do a good job on them and want them looking good, but also take into account they will be on my daily driver (07 honda civic si)

i thought about it for a quick minute actually
but i dont know, right now painting seems monetarily feasible
i was going to spray them like the time attacks

You should look for a local professional rim repair company, most will come to you. Fixing curb rash can involve grinding, polishing and welding (depending on severity of the defect).
then comes the painting and coating. You could try it yourself, but would probably not be very happy with the results. I take my rims in about once every year and I get out for around $400 total. They look better than new. Just my two cents.
