Rim Sealant

Just picked some up to coat a set of wheels.

I would be curious to see what the temperature rating of McKee's and PBL wheel coating are just out of curiousity. I had good results with PBL lasting a year.

C5 wheel armor has a temperature resistnace of up to 570 degrees F.

DLUX seems to be doing quite well on my dad's wheels. It to has a high temperature resistance.

Good to know, thanks!

View attachment 52246I have a similar issue on mine (many spokes.. (thankfully the wheel wollies fit through the gaps).. it just takes twice s long easily as cleaning the wifes 5 spoke wheels..

I tried wheel spray on coatings (dust repellant) and maybe it worked a little but the gloss level was poor..
I tried sealants and they were glossier and worked as well as the above
I tried Collinite 476s and i have to be honest that allows just a shampoo wash weekly and nothing more and was a s glossy as anyhting else..
its cheap and i reapply 2-3 times a year.. (wheels off clean and do the brakes suspension and wheel wells at the same time.. )

Coatings may be the go but they'll take a hammering on the barrels and the reapplication is a little more involved than the hardeir wax sealant combo's.. thats why i haven't bothered to coat.. yet...

Wheels off to do a coating, same as how you did Collinite. The bonus is that you shouldn't have to reapply 2-3 times a year.
How would a coating take a hammering, but collinte didn't? What makes something that has to be reapplied 2-3 times a year hardier than something that can last a year or more depending on brand used?
The M37 coating is actually VERY easy to apply. If you can apply a spray wax, you can apply the coating
