Rim/Wheel Sealant

When sealing rims/wheels do you need a dedicated wheel sealant or will a regular paint sealant do, i.e. Wolfgang 3.0?

Whatever you use on the paint will be fine. I find that wheels are really the place you want to use a coating, but a sealant is fine.

I have a couple of cans of Sonax PNS sitting around. maybe I'll give it a go. Thanks for the reply.

I do the same thing. Even with a coating, I use the same stuff I've used on the paint. I always seem to have a healthy amount of product left over when coating our vehicles, so I just use what is left over to take care of the wheels.

Spray and rinse coatings work well here. I use TWHS flex wax.

I've used 303 Touchless Sealant, but most recently I've used NV Jet, after applying it to the paint on the FJ.
