Rinseless vs waterless for weekly washes? What do you do and why

If I'm wetting the towel with anything (step 2), it's going to be with my wash solution at rinseless dilution. For the $.28, I like the peace of mind that the towel I'm wiping with has some lubrication to help prevent any marring of the paint. Plain water generally isn't regarded as a lubricant for that purpose.

Same for step 5- I've tried the damp drying towel, but again dunked in rinseless and wrung out.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but that's how I do it.
 
In winter I hit it with a hp wand at local car wash to knock the crud off. Then go home and do my regular RW. It's rare that the car needs that depending on the weather. The car is washed bi weekly or weekly if a lot of driving in the rain. I never worry about dust between washes. Never. I don't touch the car between washes because that does more harm than good most times. I just don't worry about dust because the car will get dusty even in a garage. Water spotting not an issue because of the LSP. Rain rolls off and doesn't spot. I'm more into sheeting LSPs and not beading. Beading means nothing to me and in fact is a negative imo. It's all about sheeting if you want to keep the car clean between washes.

What LSP are you using that sheets water? I like sheeting too but all LSP i use promotes beading.

I agree. I tried the steps above twice - once using a duster before and once not using a duster. What i noticed is the towel is almost clean after washing the whole car (yes, i was able to use just 1 towel!!!) if i used a duster before washing the car.
 
I use sonax PNS or fk1000. Also after each wash I hit the car with D156 which is a super hydrophobic product.

What about the wheels & tires? How do you go about washing the tires without water?
 
For water restriction areas this portable Sunjoe 6001c is run by battery with portable water tank on top. Does just fine, 1.5 x tank fill can do a car, beats pulling hoses out to wash car. I use in the winter when above 35 F
