Rinseless wash question

You can two bucket rinseless but i find tedious. Easier to use multiple wash media soaked in a bucket. Also quicker.

I’ve used wash mitts but trying to be careful I only get 4 passes per mitt. The chenille are good but i prefer these mitts especially for normal washes.

My method for rinseless is now down to a science for me personal preference.

12 microfiber 16x16 edgeless. 1.5 gallons Rinse-less mixed in a 2 gallon gamma sealed bucket. Using MKees 914 and griots BSR. Drop 3 MF in at a time. One wipe across panel per side in a rolling sweeping motion then switch sides.

Pre treat 1st and second panel when starting and then pretreat 3rd panel when starting rinseless on second.

Dry after every panel. Use Ammo hydrate as drying aid.

MF towels give you 8 cleaning sections with 1-3 passes per square based on how dirty the panel is. Just roll the section for a clean section, it's a smaller section but its there....USE IT!

Sorry for Off Topic - Where did you find your 2 gallon Gamma Seal bucket/lid? It's been a while since I looked, but I thought I had only seen the 3.5 gallon buckets w/ 5 gallon lids (Or maybe it was the 2 gallon ones were way more than I wanted to pay for a bucket..). I'd love to add one or two of these to the arsenal.
PM if needed - Thanks!

I specifically bought the big red sponge when I bought my last bottle of ONR so I could try out using a sponge. I thought the BRS did well, as far as removing dirt and not marring up the surface. What I didn't like was the mess all over my garage floor. It seemed like I struggled getting the right amount in the sponge VS too much and the ONR going everywhere. Plus, I used a ton of MF towels just to dry to a shine. I switched back to using just MF towels. I prefer longer nap MF towels. I don't remember the GSM, but they are the rag company creature edgeless towels, I believe. I'm going to be switching over to a better towel, though. Mine tend to leave a MF shed behind, even after multiple washes. Anyone else experience that with creature towels?

I think it’s ok to mention as AG doesn’t sell 2 gallon lids.

You can get a bucket and lid for around $20 of amazon. Easy and lazy way. You can get it for about half through uline.

Creatures are decent starters and i like them for rinseless till i used an EAgle Edgeless.

I dont like towels that are duel pile. I need short when i need short and longer for rinseless.

Look at the Cloud 9 from Autogeek. 80/20 gsm vs 70/30 but both 500gsm and C9 better value and super plush.

If buying alot the rag company sells the EE for $24 so $48 for 10

You can get the c9 at $40 for 12. With a 25% off sale that’s $2.50 per towel. Good deal.

Maybe order one on your next time you have an AG order to see if you like.

^^^ This right here^^^

I first used mitts with my RW's, then I tried multiple MF towels and will never go back.

For me it's: Towels for Rinsless, and Mitts for traditional bucket washes.

Mitts are always the good choice for an extreme wash method.

Both times I ran to the DIY spray car wash and rinsed it with just the high pressure rinse to get the layer of sand/salt off the paint. I then drove home (~1/2 mile) and did the rinseless wash in the garage to get the film off the paint.
I used 4 microfiber towels since it's a small car (VW Golf) and is fairly clean after the pressure rinse.

I use the same procedure, except I do a pre-treat using my Uber at waterless ratio. And I need about a dozen towels to do the SUV.

Definitely a wash mitt. You want something that will lift the dirt. A sponge does not lift. Just make sure you use a scrubbing board in your rinse bucket and multiple wash mitts.

Oh no. You guys up north still got to do rinseless washes huh?

A rinseless wash is a good option only after a blast from the power rinse at the local coin op self serve. As long as the sun is out, I’ll use the Worx Hydroshot first.

I have come to believe that the best wash is one with more liquid and less pressure.

So, when I rinseless wash, I use it like a car wash not a waterless wash. The only difference between a rinseless and a regular car wash is the method of presoak and I don't rinse (rinseless) before drying.

Single bucket with a grit guard - either way. Scratches come from pressure and the abrasiveness of the wash instrument more than less perfect water.

But, to each his own.

Your right, a sponge doesn't lift but it absorbs and does it VERY well! When I do a 2BM wash using RW the rinse water turns dark pretty quickly, so I do quick dunks and squeezes of my Aqua sponge. The nice thing about the Aqua sponge or any similar sponge is this...FLAT surface, thus making each single pass that much more effective!

The single most important part of ANY RW is pre-treating the panel! I always make up about 3.5 gallons of product and I'm not shy about how much I use to pre-treat either

So ONR says that with their formula, the dirt releases in the solution and falls to the bottom of the bucket. I cant remember the technical speak for that but that is the general idea from my understanding. Is this common for the other RW's out there ?

I'm not disagreeing with their directions but hear me out. Yes the dirt goes to the bottom, ofcoarse, but even so a grit guard is needed as well as a second rinse bucket with a grit guard for that bucket for the safest wash. This applies to using the grout sponge but when using multiple mf towels in the wash solution bucket, no grit guard or 2nd bucket is needed because your pulling a fresh and clean mf towel out everytime and putting aside when its dirty.
