Rinseless Washes - 2022

I'm a sucker for good packaging. This i would want on my shelf!

Speaking of pretty bottles is Gyeon one of the few companies that doesn't have a rinseless wash? They do make quick detailers but nothing labeled specifically as a rinseless wash.

Great question

They will not be getting into the rinseless wash market. They stand by bucket wash as being the safest.

Gyeon doesn't have a rinseless. It really seems like an american trend. I would of probably quit detailing if i had to keep using soap and water. Rinseless works great for prepping panels for polishing too. Very little water - you don't need any forced air to dry the panels before you lay the polisher down, which in my opinion is the best tool for a detailer. And clay.

The more i use gyeon the more i actually think they suck. lol They are more for indoor detailers IMO. I don't think they are a premium brand at all. Primer is a nice polish but the crap stains pads.

And did anyone see the crazy prices for gyeon's new towels kits? Rubbish.

Rinseless and waterless' have their place, no doubt about it but a good pre-wash/2BM is the most satisfying AND thorough as it gets into EVERY nook and crannie, it's all about balance IMO

Yeah I must say one thing I noticed since doing rinse less only since the start of the year is that you can't really get in nooks and crannies like you say. I tried using the brush with rinseless but idk it just doesn't feel the same. And most times it is still dirty after, probably because I can't get a microfiber to wipe clean the area the brush touches. Or maybe I'm not doing it right lol.

He’s saying every nook and cranny isn’t always clean. I understood him just fine, and he’s right.
i.e. how the heck are you supposed to get those plastic/rubber roof rails completely clean doing a Rinseless? The rear windshield where the wiper arm is? Windshield cowl, wheel wells, etc.
Sure you can get the majority of the panels, but on a really dirty vehicle it’s gonna look half arse.

"...and most times it still looks dirty", that's the part I don't get, I heard that part fine as well.

I'm not saying RW is the "be all, end all" and certainly should NEVER be used on a DAF car, common sense here

I also asked because I was hoping to fine tune his process and possibly find out how dirty the car actually was

I thought he was talking about the nooks & crannies. I’m pretty sure that’s what he’s referring to.

Rinseless washes = A quick deodorant application on a hot day so you don't smell like donkey ass.

Bucket washes = A thorough shave, shower, and shampoo before you go on a date with a chick you just know you're gonna nail.

If your "Nooks & Crannies" are dirty, you need the shower..............:laughing:

Don’t you dare go on a date with a funky nook! Lol.

Nah...... I've been happily married for 25 years.

I'm gonna leave those funky nooks up to my Cadillac-sporting pimp homie in Los Angeles..............:laughing:

You can still haul out the foam cannon and pressure washer before a rinseless. It can be done. Rinseless doesn't automatically mean no pressure washer and/or pre-wash.

Still nothing wrong with a good bucket wash but that's weather dependent for me. Its just too windy and cold here 85% of the time.

I will be breaking out labocosmetica's 3PH system sometime this summer and having a foam party lol

Oh yeah guys was talking about the nook and crannies themselves. My car will definitely be clean and shiny overall with a rinseless.

Like for example, this side rubber trim where the windshield meets the cowl.

Yeah not wrong, that point though I feel like you lose the advantage that rinse less gives you in saving time.

But hey, I'm sure when I'll do my first normal wash of the year those intricate areas won't be as dirty as quickly meaning I can get by with rinse less for most of the month and just do 1 deep wash with the traditional way. Except winter but in winter I don't care much about that, just having clean paint and wheels is nice enough. Winter is actually what got me into rinse less and this year got a rinse less sponge instead of doing the towel method and made my fall in love with rinse less. It's just so quick and efficient.

FWIW I've never foamed and THEN done a RW

Technically neither does CarPro. Using as a rinseless was an afterthought. Cleans Ok as rinsless but leaves a good gloss on it. Good for slightly dirty car you want to amp up the gloss.
