Rinseless Washes - 2022

Here's what the rinse bucket looked like after doing a DIY Detail RW (2.5 oz to 3.5 gallons of water.

It got a little dirtier after cleaning the tires and wheels w/ the leftover RW. I used my Aqua sponge as the wash media and the IK sprayer for pre-treating. Her car had water spots and pollen film on it. I actually used my mini Master Blaster to blow off/out those pollen bombsvand foliage before the wash. That said, even with pre-treating, I could hear the grit coming off

Don’t over complicate the pre-soak. Dunk your pump sprayer into the solution you make. Make 3 gallons so you have extra for the pump sprayer.

That picture is messing with my head! Looks like you have your buckets laid on the hood of the car!

Hey just was looking up this thread through internet. I remember somewhere it would show how many time a thread has been looked at. Thought it was by “likes” and “thanks” but could not find.

Am I missing something?

...just DIY also had polymers to in addition. IIRC there was this post on here that reviewed a whole bunch of rinseless and when mixed, the DIY and McKees water looked the same, heavy dirty was at the bottom but the water wasn't clear.

That was mine!
17 Rinseless Washes Reviewed: pictures, charts, smell tests, and pseudo-science

Yes, I tested for visible evidence of polymers, and sure didn't see any in DIY Rinseless.
Maybe they are there, but it acted nothing like any of the other options that state they have polymers.

It did, however, act/look/feel just like N914, which states it doesn't have polymers.

Does it matter? Thats for each person to decide.

It doesn't matter to me, I just liked doing the test.

Here's N914 and DIY Rinseless next to each other:

I did a test of N914, DIY Rinseless, and Absolute side by side on the same vehicle.

My observation was that Absolute (Polymer based) really cleaned very well, the dirt really "stuck" to the wash media, and wiped off the paint very nicely.
The downside was that dirt tended to stay attached to the wash media. It did not release and return to the bucket as well.

N914/DIY Rinseless did not pick up dirt as well into the wash media (more smeared around).
But, it released very well from the wash media into the bucket.

Now, all 3 products are excellent in my opinion. They clean very well.
Im exaggerating the experience just a bit to make a point that the cleaning methods feel different to me.

I guess it was similar it what Yvan is saying here?

Last few months I have been using echo2 and Absoluite. I also use Echo2 as a speed detailer and it leaves zero streaks every time. I feel it's not comparing apples to apples as far a Rinsless solutions go. Echo2 like Noorth mentioned wasn't designed for a Rinseless but it knocks it out of the park!
if used as one.

I'm using ECH20 more and more recently, such a rewarding product play with.

Yeah i almost ordered a liter bottle last week lol I will when i use up the little bit i have left.

Rinseless washes will never go to waste for me.

Ech20 is my current QD. :). Very versatile product.

Well ONR V5 fell short. It’s not game changing and whatever changes they made are negligible. Feels like the previous version.

Shoot.
I was hoping the smell was tweaked, and maybe slightly less prone to light streaking.

Trying to remember what they said the changes were?

Where'd you get it that has v5 in stock?

What do you think of OP's ecowash Mike? Have you tried it?

Very interesting company to me for some reason and i really like the labeling. Seems I'm looking more and more at USA based products.

It seems good. Crazy dilution ratio.

Yeah, like DIY it would be very nice if they had 32oz bottles especially with that dilution ratio. I don't know if i will drop about $35(taxes+shipping) for 16oz only or over $100 for a gallon! lol

Thinking about it now, to buy just 16oz at that price would just be silly...these guys need 32oz bottles just like DIY.

EcoWash dilution is 1:512. It will save you in the long run with the size of the bottle
