So I can’t reach the middle of the roof on the Grenadier on my gorilla platform. Not looking to go higher so thinking a mitt on a stick. I got an inexpensive Amazon one but it’s garbage.

Any other idea’s?

Also what mitt would you use for rinseless. Surprised there isn’t a rinseless sponge
attachment. Got a huge PFM I can drag across to dry.

Also when coating how do you guys get to the middle?

You need one of those Tom Cruise Mission Impossible setups:

The Reacher from Meguiar's is pretty good, very robust extendable shaft, that has curve to it to give you more leverage, also probably keeps it away from the roof. I can reach the whole roof on the FJ with the platform in a position about mid way down either side.

To apply and buff products on the roof, I open the doors and stand on the door sills, with the doors open you can lean in further too. I keep my tub behind me in case I lose balance and need to step back. I also use the interior roof grab handles to help as well. For the rear half of the roof i open the back door, fortunately it's a side swing open door, and just stand inside the back section, and on the unpainted back bumper.PSX_20250203_132304.jpgPSX_20250528_145021.jpg

I use a ladder if my platform does not get me the reach i need. 4-6 foot ladder usually does the trick. I know you said you dont want to go higher, but thats your only realistic option that i know of.

That looks beefy. Not available in the states. I ended up ordering the Autofiber mitt on a stick pro+. It was 15% off for prime and no shipping which everywhere else that did cart charged. Also like that its pole is padded and there’s a lot of different covers that will attach.

Expensive, but you could also look at the IncrediPole from Microfiber Madness. These come with the same microfiber material as their IncrediPad wash pads and mitts, they even sell spare/replacement socks, so in theory you could swap them out as you go. Carpro USA/Sky's The Limit have them.

Wow, being a Meg's product I just figured it came from the US.

The autofiber mitt on a stick was more even with sale but I like that pole is padded and with it being more popular rhere are more accessories.

It also has the little corner grabby things like a swifter if you just want to att a normal MF…. Maybe use that feature for drying?

I have a Navigator and Bronco. I got the autofiber mitt on a stick. I really like it. I’ve got the microfiber wash cover, drying cover, and clay towel cover. It works well for everything I’ve tried so far (which doesn’t include the clay towel yet).
