Can't say I remember that but I'd love to hear some quotes for sure! I thought I heard from all the libs back then, don't know how I missed this one! If true, makes me think less of him and ashamed he's from my hometown of Detroit too!

I listened to Casey from the time he came on the air with Americas Top 40 in 1970.......His passing bothered me....
 
was a big fan of his top 40 program, literally grew up listening to it every weekend. R.I.P. Casey!
 
It's a shame that he hated America, but got wealthy here.It's not a secret or opinion, just google it. Plenty of info out there.
 
He was a unique announcer in his trade. They still play reruns of his shows on the local oldies station. When I am detailing in the garage on Sundays, I often listen to his broadcasts of the 70's.

Just googled "Casey Kasem 9/11" and can't find much about anything anti-american. I did find he was vocal against the unlawful spying on Arab-Americans. Not sure what else you are talking about.



There are few pop culture icons as big as Casey Kasem. He will be missed.
 
I well remember listening to him as a 'youngun' growing up in Southern Calif back (way back) in the day.

Truly a very distinctive voice.

Anyone remember what radio station he was on (in LA), before the "Top 40" days? I want to say KRLA.

I'm not happy he's dead or anything, but the guy played really bland music on a bland radio show.

You could probably have replaced him with one of the Kardashians or Ryan Seacrest and nobody would have noticed or cared.

How about you back up your claims with proof, rather than just saying google it. Until then you have no credibility and just come across as bitter, spiteful or just trying to troll.

With the internet, we can dig up just about anything on anyone but it's truth and accuracy always becomes questionable and who are we to throw stones.

Casey Kasem was a part of anyone's life that enjoyed listening to top 40 songs. Casey was knowledgeable, fun to listen to. Even listening to his reruns today bring back a lot of great memories of an earlier time in my life that I look back fondly on.

Casey, thanks for all the great songs and for the memories that went along with them...:props:

The stories provided here about him, if true and accurate, are horrible! Since his radio shows are available around the world imagine a soldier fighting for our freedom, and Cassums, hears about the rant, just think about that for a minute.
