When someone who is a <insert liberal or conservative> person that makes a living off people paying to hear their thoughts (TV, books, talk radio), I would not believe a lot of what they say. They are supply kool aid for those that like a particular flavor. There does not have to be truth involved.

I came across this same page in my google search. If this is what you are calling "facts" I would like you to point to all the sources for the "facts" contained in this article.

Also, this was the only reference I found to him being anti-american. So much for it being "all over the internet."
 
How is it that a forum filled with respect and support can turn so silly over a thread about Casey Kasem. Maybe I am reading into it too much but the tone of some of the 'off topic' posts become so personal so quick. I will head back to the detailing specific forums as there is more acceptance of differing views and opinions.
 
After posting I realized posts like mine just add to the problem. Carry on and speak your mind as you see fit - sorry for projecting more negativity.

Well, some of us like Casey and some don't. I have no problem saying what I feel about a public figure like Casey here - we all have opinions and this is an OT discussion forum. But, attacking the posters and calling them trolls or whatever probably isn't going to lead to good things. So, I agree with you there.

I found him counter to what was going on at the time. He had a unique voice for the early 70's where Vietnam, protests, drugs use more prevalent, music and dress styles changing, etc).
