RIP Mr. Miyagi

I feel a little bad for posting this, but I tried to help and never seen anything like this before.

He came over one day, when I was using my GG6 and thought I was the insane one.

That picture is pretty awesome. If your neighbor doesn't want to take some friendly advice just let him do it whatever way makes him happy. I am pretty sure to the majority of people out there they would think we are crazy for the money and time we invest in our car.

Don't feel bad for posting the pictures I am sure in a week or two he will get all the wax off and be pretty happy with himself.

Wow, I almost didn't continue with the thread because the pic wasn't there, but WOW! after getting to page 2 it was oh so worth it. That has gotta be rough (but somewhat comical) to look at every day. That trim really scares me, that wax might never come off of it.

Is that his or his ole ladies DD. My wife would go ballistic if I did that to her car! Whose ever SUV that is... poor fellow, she'll tell the "wax story" at every family get together forever until his ears bleed

Update: After it's been driven and a short rainfall this morning, I'm seeing progress. Drivers side is fully coated still.

So he drove it? and in the rain? So dirty road film is now attached and he'll grind it in as he attempts to buff that ish off? This cannot end on a good note no matter what.:buffing:

Ouch!!! I see a lot of self taught "detailers" as I have a quarter car wash a couple mile from my house. I use it for a quick spray down every so often when I don't have the time for a 2B. It's amazing how many folks use the "foaming brush method" to clean their entire car. I do feel compelled to intervene but that not my job. My vehicle is "my job". Besides they may be future customers. You're right though, a neighbor is a different story, I would probably also try to lend a hand. Hopefully he'll come around and see the light (shining off your vehicle, that is) and ask for a little help. People are stubborn. Nice of you to try.
Take care.

Peace,

Darrin

Quick update: the wax is still on the car, he obviously can't remove it all the way. I'll update with more pics...

LMAO!!! "Grasshopper, if you can take this pebble out of my hand, then you have learned the ways of a master". I am wondering when will he come to the Shoalin Monk (you).

But I do recall he thought you were nuts with your DA too!

Please show pics when you can.....that trim must look real pretty on his car by now!!....LOL

Man, poor guy. He was probably trying to impress you.

Are you waiting till he breaks down and asks for your help?

If he doesn't, give him some Collinite for Christmas.

After waxing his SUV we ran it through 52 car washes, even harsh detergents and scrubbing can't hurt the long lasting swirly mess , look the water still beads!

But, just look at ALL that protection he'll have come winter (and the following winter)!
