Does anyone have input on detailing something like this?

I've never seen this sort of paint wear before (obviously because its on an older car)

Unlike modern cars with their plastic sideskirts and bumpers, pre-90's vehicle had metal rockers/valences that were part of the chassis. From the factory, they were painted with "shultz" textured paint, and then paint matched with the rest of the body to resist rock chips.

Over the years, the paint appears to be fading away from the high points of the texture. I'm curious if there are any products that would dye or permanently mask the exposed areas (primer)? They certainly don't feel like chips

Take the paint code to a local auto body shop supply business and have them mix you a can of aerosol auto paint color matched. Prep is key but that would be an easy shade tree respray.

I figure I might have to respray it but short of doing that, I was hoping there were products that can touch it up like forever black or something
