Hello to all you fellow detail enthusiast. New guy from Hawaii that's just getting into some paint restoration. I used my new Griots 6" orbital polisher for the first time this weekend. Never had a machine polisher before. I have a 2009 Camry XLE that has bad water spots etched in to the paint( white ). I washed, then clayed the hood, roof and trunk. I used Meguire's ultimate compound which removed 95% of the the water spots. I also used it on my windows which also had water spots and took most of it off. There is no clear coat on my car so the ultimate compound worked terrific. I then applied Klasse sealant glaze. As a rookie using the polisher was easier than I thought. Once I'm done with the Klasse application I will finish the car with Meguire's pure carnuba wax. Hopefully I can post some pictures. I really find the forum very helpful and informative.
