Our shop has been using 3M Ultrafina SE with a D/A polisher and grey Lake Country CCS pad as the last polishing step in our paint correction with great results for some time now. I was recently told by the distributor that 3M has discontinued this product and I'll no longer be able to get it. So now I'm needing another product that will produce similar results at a reasonable cost. I was paying $30 a quart for the 3M. Thanks for your suggestions.

they are not discontinuing the product, i spoke with 3M when i was in vegas for SEMA, they are simply narrowing down their line and giving certain products different numbers. I heard this as well with 3M 6060 and had to find out for myself when i was there. i also use the ultrafina(6068) with a grey LC and PC, its an awesome product, they would be foolish to discontinue

any chance you have a new part number for it?

as of right now its the same number, i have to go by my supply shop tomorrow and i will get it and post later

I don't use Ultrafina myself, but I've read about it being used by many detailers in forums in other countries and they all rave about it. As the other fellow said, something this popular would not be discontinued. I may have to give it a shot some day to see for myself.:D

Thanks for all of your replies. I talked to my distributor today and he apologized for the mix up. He somehow got confused and fed me wrong information. Much to my dismay as I have now purchased a gallon of swirl remover made by auto magic and it is a far inferior product. I was going to be crushed if 3M discontinued this product as it produces flawless results so easily.
