I am just getting around to doing a good detail on my BMW 330i I bought not too long ago. Today, after giving the car a good wash, I noticed what appears to be rotary buffer swirls on the hood. They are not terrible, but definitely noticeable, I tried to capture some of them below with cell phone camera.

I will starting on compounding (if necessary) and polishing it up this week. The swirls are not too bad either, I am hoping M205 and a white pad will clean them up good enough. We'll see after I get a test spot done.

The M205 will take care of the holograms. Those just take away from the paint. Looking forward to you before and afters!

M205 on a white pad should take care of the trails and finish out really well in one step.

Would like to see more of the car as well.

Thanks guys. I just put in a few hours with the M205/white pad tonight, just need to finish up the bumpers and trunk lid tomorrow. It is looking a lot better for sure, I love this paint color!

I'll put together a show 'n shine thread once I'm completely done.

I agree with everyone that M205 with a white pad should do the trick. Like you said, it's just a matter of doing it - it shouldn't be too difficult. Looking forward to the show 'n shine thread!
