Royal Purple Oil and Filter

Bringing a thread from the dead...the oil I always see recommended is the german castrol, from what I've read on bob is the oil guy it tests the best. That's what I run in my LS motor with a k&n filter.

I used to use the "German Castrol" ( 0W30 European Car) in my old BMW as its a "real" synthetic at an OTC price. I always used the BMW filters, though. Now I'm using the $15.00 a quart Castrol TWS 0W60, BMW only oil for M cars. Castrol makes great all around oils that perform well in most categories.
