Running out of ideas

So i'm currently working on a newer BMW 5 series, white exterior and its kicking my tale. I'm getting rid of only 50-60% of the defects would be my guess. I have a flex 3401 and have used M105 and a orange pad (no luck), yellow pad (no luck) and even a freaking surbuf and its just not getting the level of correction that I expect.
Does it come to a point where some cars just HAVE to have a rotary to get the job done?

have you tried wetsanding with 3000 grit then following up with 105 and an orange pad on the flex?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, never considered it and I have 3000 sanding discs in stock, I'll test a spot and see what happens. Thanks a ton!!
i think this heat has me not thinking through things properly or something. I think it hit 113 today.

Dear god man, wet sanding? 105 should do the trick, but 105 is very heat sensitive so you may dust the heck out of it.
I just did a Alpine White 2011 535i a few months ago. Came out treat.:
I had a lot of swirls in the paint. I used Meguiars Microfiber correction compound, a 5 inch cutting disc and a Porter cable 7424.
-Polishing with a Lake Country White foam pad and Mezerna Super Nano Finish.
-Wax, I appplied Menzerna Power Lock with a gold foam pad. one thin layer, wipe off, then repeat

You mentioned the heat. I'm not sure where you are, but if it's very hot and humid, I have a feeling this is affecting your results. I know every paint is different, but a surbuf and 105 with a 3401 on factory paint is max effort. Assuming it's not operator error so it has to be environmental.

I'm chalking this one up to the heat. I mean it is supposed to be 114 today. I have only been doing this for a year, but have corrected many before this.
Like you've said, its been max effort, i keep the pad flat, start with some pressure, lighten it up a little bit. Again its correcting some, just as a detailer none of us our satisfied till its perfect right?

My recomendation would be slow your passes down ans multi pass on the 105 and surbuff... Perfection is the goal but remember to tailor your work to your customers...
