RUPES BigFoot Production Officially Starts in the USA

I'm in Canada and this is great for all your North American customers. We benefit from NAFTA and a shared market place. Your suppliers will also be happy. AG will do more business too because they now can deliver faster and less "red tape".

Just purchased a Flex 3401 from AG and love it. However, now that I can buy an "assembled in the USA" RUPES, that will be my next machine purchase.

Nice to see them coming to the states, i will make sure my next machine comes from them.

The only way the price will go down for the Canadian's is if the dollar goes up realative to the US dollar. There are also some savings on the Customs Broker Fees. Importing into NA is much easier and cheaper when it is made in NA. My main point is it is way less government red tape and therefore becomes less of "pita".

Certainly there are some NAFTA benefits (potentially) but there is still a lot for us to figure out and we only have SOME of the SKU's here for the moment so it will take some time to figure everything out and it will be a constantly moving target as we add additional manufacturing capacity to our operation here in the US.

If a detailer was to just show up at the facility in Longmont, is there anything to see, or buy, or would we be turned away?

We don't sell direct to the public so nothing to buy.

Things are still very much in the early stages, we don't have the appropriate protocols or segmentation of the facility to protect our intellectual property at this point and some things are sensitive/confidential pieces of the manufacturing process we'd prefer not be public. To that end we can't really offer you a 'full tour' if you just drop in... if you make us aware of your visit ahead of time there are parts of the facility we can let you tour though.

As things progress we'll be much more public in terms of coming to see the facility - like all things, it just takes time and right now our primary goal is pumping out tools. :)

Thank you for the reply, I live just a few miles away in Firestone and have thought about dropping in sometime. Guess I will wait till it is more open.

I think it is great that rupes is in the usa i love my mark 2 15 . such a positive company glad that they are here .

For this reason alone, my next polisher will be a RUPES. I hear all the time about guys wanting USA made tools. Now you have a top of the line polisher that is made here.

go ahead and get the rupes you wont be sorry i love mine it does and awesome job so smooth the entire system is great . rupes is such a great company.

I personally think it is awesome that Rupes is going to assemble tools in the United States. That shows a dedication to quality. The highest quality products come from industrialized nations with free societies, such as Italy, Germany, United States etc. Many people do not care where the products they buy are made, I am not one of those people.
