Rupes mk 2 speed

Hello everyone. Just a quick question .
Does a Rupes Bigfoot mk2 15 polisher have the same speed as a rotary polisher? the reason I ask is that on some bottles of polishers and glazes say put the speed setting onto a 2 or 3 for best results. I work for a car showroom and use Malco products

Apples to oranges. Your talking about an orbital vs a rotary. Their speeds are very different in how they act on paint.

rotary = RPM
Dual Action = OPM

Mark2 ..try speed 3.5 for polish/compound
speed 1 for wax/seal

I have found that on Rupes 15 Mk2 the ideal compounding speed is 4-4,5. I use 4,5 most of the time and one a 21 mk2 i use speed 4 most of the time.

op for my 15mk2 I use speed 4 for cutting and speed 3 for polishing.
