Off topic slightly but in the video at 1:09 you see a trail of light develop, that is not present at 1:08. is that still marring in the paint?

Maybe polish residue or just the angle. The piece was defect free, particularly in the center of the section. There may be some small defects on the edges where the polisher lightly passed over (sections always seem to grow as you do them).
