Always great to see Todd come visit but sometimes it's more fun than others!

Like really, let Alberto work, why do you have to get in his way...

Here's a before picture, this car was buffed out using a wool pad and a rotary buffer.

Todd, Alberto and I used the new tools today to do an extreme makeover on the above 1951 Mercury. I was very impressed with the tools after compounding and polishing the paint on this Merc.

We used production units and you can kind of see them here,

:)

Looking forward to it.

Quick... Is Asia ready to copy this machine??? Was there time enough to recoup the $$$ from the last copy???

Take notes. Rupes is bringing out something new.

I saw an Australian knock off of a Rupes Mini. Lolz. Of course - it was used and for sale.

Thankfully, there is an innovative company like Rupes pushing the envelope and technology.

Time for me to apply for a new credit card, with SEMA around the corner.

Awesome! Looking forward to Rupes new goodies.

Fit and finish on these new production units was top notch.

Definitely a company on fire!

Rupes Big Foot Mark II ????

That's what we were working with all day long today. I think Todd said this project is the first to use the new tools in the U.S.

I cover these in my new how-to book too. See sig-line.

:xyxthumbs:

That is just an amazing make over, the color transformation on that paint is stunning.

Ugh, how could you do this to us? Can't wait to see the new machine. Will there be another sneak peak before SEMA or will attendees be the first? :) Just bought a second Rupes 21 haha.. but I did hear about Rupes snagging up Cyclo so rlmccarty might be onto something ;)

Ya on Todd's shirt I seen the cylco logo.

Also OUCH on just buying the second rupes.

You can always sell it on eBay to get the mark II no biggie

I hear it's suppose to have more power than any DA on the market, but before Rupes said anything over 500 watt was overkill? Guess they have to keep up with the trends!

The depth of the blue paint after the polishing is what really amazes me. The before condition....

What I truly appreciate about what you do Mike is your ability to share with owners of classic cars what their vehicles can look like when properly detailed. It's no surprise to me that most cars at shows and auctions are swirled up messes.

When I watch Mecum and Barrett Jackson and observe the vehicles going under the lights it speaks volumes.

It takes a very tactful approach to share the potential that their vehicles could be with them given the opportunity.

Just watched Larry's video. So exciting! I think the thing I'm most excited about is the stand on the back of the polisher so it sits level on a flat surface :) And no worries about the second 21, Can never have too many polishers, Was thinking about a second 3401 but a third Rupes 21 might be it haha.

Beautiful transformation guys... that paint looks stunning after a nice polish at the hands of some skilled dudes with a high quality system :)

As far as the Cyclo logo... RUPES acquired Cyclo back at the beginning of the year. The RUPES USA team (including myself and Jason) work out of the Cyclo toolmakers building. With the acquisition Cyclo became a brand under the RUPES company flag (same as BigFoot or Skorpio).

Also, don't try to read too much between the lines guys - reserve opinions on what is done, why, and how until you get all the details, which will be released fully at SEMA.
