Hello, it appears that rust is forming in a small section of the trunk. I'm wondering what is a good approach for this issue. I was thinking of either living with it or maybe applying some IronX to it and then putting some touch up paint on top. The problem with the first idea is that the rust might grow.

I'm going to insert some pictures. I would appreciate any help.

It needs to be ground down to bear metal, prime and paint. If you don't have the skills, take it to a body shop. Using IronX and touch up paint will only cover it up and in fact make it worse over time.

Hmm ok. I'm just going to leave it be for a while and see how it does. As long as it does not grow, I'll be ok with it.

Thanks.

Most corrosion and rust starts from the inside out. So it's probably worse than what you see on the surface and it will continue to fester and grow.

Put some Ospho on it for now until you want to deal with it.It`s somewhat short lived but can be reapplied. It will halt it but not correct it.
