morning all,

what are your thoughts on rustproofing? Is it still just used oil by-product or are there any newer products I can ask for by name that don't make the undercarriage a sticky mess (heaven forbid it ends up on the paint)?

thanks

I learned about the rust inhibitor/convertor years ago in a painting class in the Navy, but never found out where to get it in the civilian sector. Guess Eastwood has it. I need to look through my paperwork and find out exactly what the military uses/what the name is. Will post it if I find it.

thanks guys I'll look into the eastwood system.

Definitely rustproof!!!

I got my car's underbody coated with a black rubber based underbody coating when I took delivery of my car.

Now, being particular about attention to detail more than ever, I found that they missed a few spots!
I'll be getting a few aerosol cans for that

If you're in the market for such a coating etc.
many ppl swear by POR15, Inc. - Stop Rust Permanently - Repair Gas & Fuel Tanks
